Its never too soon to keep talking about F1! Weather....Spain - sunny perfect 23C on raceday same for qualy Updates for all my friends including Lotus - Lotus hoping to 'open a few eyes' with updates in Spain McLaren and rest as well will have updates. Will we see more competition or more of the same with Mercedes upfront and Ferrari close to them? Qual Rosberg - He really needs to do something now not later LH Kimi Race LH Kimi - to be employed next year he must beat Vettel now Nico I don't think we will see much change up front until Monaco. Would be nice if we did though.
Quali 1)Nico 2)Seb 3)Lewis - I feel Lewis run of luck is due for an upset - Wish him well though Race 1)Nico 2)Lewis 3)Seb 4)Kimi
Nico historically does well here and he needs to beat hamilton desperately. I hope he gets pole because this track is hard to pass and I want something to watch. But I don't know if he has the mental game to step it up qualy 1. nico 2. lh 3. vettel race 1. lh 2. nico 3. kimi
Given that he holds the lap record, I like Kimi's chances. But, only a mistake of some sort or a mechanical can keep Lewis from winning and the pressure will get to Nico and he will make a mistake that keeps him off the podium. Will tire degradation be enough to make the difference? Probably not, but I will go out on a limb and say: 1) Lewis 2) Kimi 3) Seb
Qualy 1. Nico 2. Vett 3. Ham Race 1. Vett 2. Ros 3. Raik DNF Ham, and both McLarens who will go out in a blaze of very expensive carbon infused upgraded grenadability… (whilst still being 1 second a lap off the pace when operational)
I think the pole sitter wins this race baring any complications during pit stops. I expect Lewis to be on pole and win the race, he's on a role right now, he won there last year. both kimi and vettel have run well there in the past, but I do not expect them to catch either of the mercedes.
I think this is the most difficult race to predict by now. It is told that Ferrari will have a great update but nobody knows how much they can take of the advantage of Mercedes and how much Mercedes themselves can improve...Furthermore I think that Mercedes will get his break issues sorted now so this will most likely not be a factor anymore. So it depends whether the Ferrari are on pair or not but as I still doubt it I would say that the two Mercedes are still in the front. Judging their latest perfomance this will be Hamilton Pole/Win and Nico following. And as long as Nico is in between Hamilton and the Ferrari Lewis can easily manage the race from the front...The Mercedes might just get into trouble when they have to react on Ferrari once the red cars are leading like they did in Sepang...
Indeed, although I couldn't understand the logics from this. Probably my reading comprehension skills. McLaren set for livery change ahead of Barcelona | FORMULA 1 news | Motorsport.com
The addition of a fifth engine to the current allocation of four now looks unlikely, with Mercedes poised to veto the change according to non-executive chairman Niki Lauda. (Grand Prix Times) Who needs competition lol!
+1 I don't fancy Kimi's chances here because he can't turn the tires on well for a quali lap. No mechanical failures it'll be: Ham Ros Vet Rai Bot
Yes - apart from the debris from another exploding engine which will reinstate McLaren chrome all over Spain
Theyhave had the chrome since 2006. I think it's a way to show people that they have moved on from Mercedes being an engine supplier.
Definitely a front limited track, so with our lower front roll centre this should accentuate our tire advantage. Also expecting positive results from our upgrade packages.... so ..... sticking my neck out and picking another win for us here from Seb with Kimi also on the podium.
Motivated Kimi second row in quali, leap-frogs Ham in pits for win. Quali: Ham Vet Ros Kimi Race: Kimi Ham Vet Ros
Ferrari brought a number of substantial updates to their bodywork. I wouldn't be surprised if they brought a quarter of a second with them. This will be interesting.
