Ummm... black... Very... "imaginative". And somewhat unrelated to McLaren or Honda. Still it looks a lot better than the "fake 90´s West-McLaren-Mercedes livery" they had.
I wonder what keeps them from going white & red? Or a classic 60's orange. At any rate, this better than the ugly they've run so far this year.
I'm suprised they dont do more Mclaren Orange - Papaya colors... since that is a popular color for their road cars? I think it looks better than the puter / chrome look... never really liked that.
Papaya would have been great. Black is blah, especially on a race car. Maybe they just want to be less visible......
Blatant 2010 HRT copy! I agree with others, proper white/red ''MP4/6'' style or papaya orange...this is just silly. The rumour this test season (or was it last year already ) that they might run orange got the media going crazy. Take advantage, idiots!
For all those wanting white and red - forget it. Those were Marlboro sponsor colours not McLaren at all. I think the black is very dull. Same base colour pallet as other teams and not imaginative. However, what I would like to see is a comparison of the cars under the previous and this scheme. We are expecting a big a mcLaren upgrade for Barcelona and it would be good to see how the cars compare - or is the upgrade just to the PU? Is the drastic livery change also partially disguising design/engineering changes to the aero package?
Not Marlboro white red, Honda White/Red. Not a retro mclaren scheme from the Senna/prost days. Take the design they just, swap the black for white. Of course, unless its reliable, does Honda want the PR right now. <_< The new scheme may also have to do with weight, surface roughness, or heat dissipation.
Crazy, right?? Seems like AAA would be a perfect fit of a car that spends so much time on the flat bed!
Great. They went from looking like Mercedes/Force India to something sort of like Sauber of yesteryear. They have probably the best looking car yet they can't get the damn livery right. I dislike Ron more every day. I hope the upgrades give Alonso and Button a better/faster car at least.
A more expensive Hispania.. roughly the same place on the grid though. I kid.. Boulier commented their operating budget is the highest it's been in the history of the team. I suspect they are more than just a customer to Honda.. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Don't they have heat issues? They should have gone white since that black will soak up the heat from the sun. Every bit helps. Ha.
