I did some investigation on Hulk and I can see why so many rate him, but I think he is one of those drivers that was unable to take that pre-F1 form/pace into F1.

Compared to Weber, who put a useless Jaguar on pole, he just hasn't quite fired. Yes Hulk got a pole in a Williams but that is hardly a rare feat. We must remember that until Vettel, Weber destroyed all his team mates, so I still rate Hulk < Weber ...

Allegedly one of McLaren's spare drivers with Hulkenburg as a back-up plan if Ron's dowry is unsufficient

What has Webber got to do with anything?

Options are mainly kimi, bottas or the hulk

In the Kimi sucks thread we have been discussing Hulk and I stated that Webber was better much upsetting the Hulk fans ... and here we are again discussing Hulk as somebody promising that Ferrari should hire.

The problem with Hulk is he is probably wanting to defend his LeMans victory next year with Porsche. Force India will let that happen, so will others, but a Ferrari driver in a Porsche.... Not gonna happen.

It's unfortunate since I would like for him to be with Vettel to make cheering super easy, but I don't see it happening now.

I'm pretty sure only Hamilton and Rosberg would turn down a Ferrari drive in exchange for a Le Mans seat at this point in time.

Huge opportunity lost, if true. I've got nothing against Bottas. Fine driver, seems to be a good guy. Just, bland, IMO. Ferrari could benefit from a more "exciting" addition to the team. Someone who intrigues fans. Someone like Kimi! Ferrari isn't about to win a Championship in the next couple of years. They need someone in the car world feeds are going to want to follow. A 4X WDC does that. A bland Fin that hasn't done much on or off the track doesn't.

Ferrari really do like pissing away money.

Raikkonnen = their worst ever investment. Pay him heaps, then pay him heaps of money to go away. Pay him heaps to come back and then pay heaps to buy someone out of their contract with another team so that they have a suitable replacement.

    clap clap.

I think the fact that Bottas obeyed the order not to pass Massa last time round is what sealed the deal for Ferrari. Hulkenberg would be more problematic, especially now he's won LeMans
