Wow I can't imagine anything that would rile up some US racing fans than going a FREAKIN' ELTON JOHN CONCERT.

    Where the TeleTubbies not available?

What the hell are they thinking?

The circuit has to make back some of the money Bernie steals.

Ever been to a Sir Elton gig?

He may be out there in terms of "lifestyle", but he puts on one hell of a fine show IMO. Good for COTA - at least they're trying.

    Cheers,
    Ian

He came to bakersfield and he was great--- or was that Barry Mannelow?

I need to see if I can find "Corvette Summer." " Benny-- Benny..."

There aren't many acts out there with more star power.

Has he performed a super bowl halftime show? If not, only a matter of time.

This dovetails nicely with the image most of America has of F1 eurotrash. As evidenced by the cinema masterpiece Talledaga Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby

COTA sent me an email advertising tickets. Paddock Club only $4200 per person for Saturday and Sunday. Heavy price to pay for watching Mercedes 1 & 2. 😄

Ditto. COTA is pulling in a number of bigger acts that Austin wouldn't usually get. Unfortunately, COTA is a crappy place for a show a decent show.

    +1 :)

I don't have a problem with the hats. I don't have a problem with the boots.

But, for reasons unknown, country music grates on me like nails on a blackboard...... I know it's popular here, but not for me.

    Cheers,
    Ian

They could even arrange for her and Ed Sheeran to visit the Mercedes pits perhaps?

    Hey Ian,

Have you tried any old school country music, ya know, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams, Tex Ritter, etc. Better than the newfangled stuff IMO...T
