Don't blink or you'll miss this super fast pit stop - Video

That actually looked kind of slow compared to today's stops.

 

Pretty sure this is the 1.95 second pitstop...fastest one done so far!

 

Goes to show that smooth and fast can be deceiving.

 

Fastest pit from last 3 seasons is 2.3s, so ya 1.95s takes the cake!!!

 

It did look quite slow. They didn't seem to be rushing, it was all very smooth and easy, which is probably why it was under two seconds.

Actually the guys this year beat the 1.95 with a 1.85 but it wasn't unofficial..

What's the difference between an official and unofficial time?

The unofficial times seem to be dramatically lower than the "official" ones that teams get rewarded for at the end of each season.

 

They weren't doing it for competition, officially timed..

I have always been leery of tenth measurements of actual stops. Pit delta time seems to be very exact but the actual stop?, unless they are using sensors in the car for stop and start?

 

Sensors in the pit box space, actually. So highly accurate.

Getting really anal, sensors there & in the car of course......

Isn't it still a Dutch outfit that supplies those transponders?
