Any clues on the color? I read yellow, but with Renault likely going back to yellow perhaps they'll do something different. Whatever it is, I hope it's not some shade of grey. It'd be cool to see something different. Sauber is about the ugliest car on the grid at the moment... I didn't think anyone could do worse than Catraham, but they did...of course IMHO.

I just hope they do something solid... not tacky or gimmicky. Just a cool-ass car.

I agree about gray. Dark colors are terrible on these cars, but I actually think the Saubers look pretty good.

I'd like to see Haas in traditional American blue and white.

Admittedly I am biased when I say I liked the Sauber livery. I thought Marussias were ugly.

Hoping for blue white on the Haas car

Guess it depends on who's paying the bills, but I concur, American should be blue & white.

Actually, what are the 'traditional' American national racing color(s)?

Gurney was white & blue IIRC, but is that it?

    Cheers,
    Ian

White with blue trim are the official USA racing colors.

The Eagle F1 cars were sort of a gunmetal blue-gray metallic with a while dorsal stripe if I remember (too lazy to look it up :)) correctly.

There were "official" national colors, once-upon-a-time.
Italy, Red (Ferrari, Maserati); Germany, Silver (Mercedes, Porsche); Netherlands (private entries), Orange; Britain, Dark Green (Vanwall, Lotus, BRM); France Light Blue (Ligier), USA, Blue/White (Gurney, NART); Japan White/Red (Honda). Those colors were related to the nationality of the team (not necessarily the manufacturer), and held true into the late '60s when the big sponsors like Gold Leaf and John Player demanded that the cars they sponsored assume their color scheme. Ferrari and Mercedes seem to be the only ones with enough clout to stick with the traditional colors. None of this seems to relate to McLaren Orange. Except that Bruce may have been partial to orange.

Supposedly Bruce liked the orange because it appeared different on Black and White TV's compared to other colors....

Traditionally, USA was white with a blue stripe.

I'm not TOO big on history or nostalgia. I don't care what the car looks like, I just don't want it to be an embarrassment. If I had to choose colors, I'd vote for a pearl white base color with blue accents of a similar hue to the below Vette.

I think the official McLaren color is actually "papaya."

I'd be disappointed if there isn't at least 10 USA flags on the car

Seriously tho, I'm guessing it will stay with a red/white/black theme with colours added/removed based on the sponsors colours.

A pale version of Ferrari Rosso Corsa would seem appropriate. :)

The trailers are white with grey.

Anyone hearing who the Haas sponsors are?

Shell will be the fuel since by contract with Ferrari only Shell is used in the engines.
