Great livery, I am glad they stick to a re-interpreted black. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
+1 Not bad at all. Just not sure about the front wing - I get that they're trying to control the airflow aft, but they're nasty looking things to me - Too big & 'cumbersome' for my taste. Cheers, Ian
? Look pretty normal to me..... Hard to say being 'black on black', but nothing jumps out at me - Just the usual tiny wheels & massive sidewalls as always.... Gotta love how the Pirelli logo is *always* perfectly horizontal in these pix...... Cheers, Ian
According to Andrew Benson´s twitter, this is a temporal livery for pre-season, they´ll have another one later. And that´s the 2015 car, isn´t it? So this was a great presentation of... nothing.
Shame. Hope they make up their minds and stick with this livery. It's stunning. That or the ''old'' colours of blue and yellow. Very distinctive and utterly fantastic looking.
I don't think so. Even discounting their "twin tusk" nonsense from early last season, this one looks much more tightly packaged than '15. Hope those teeny radiator inlets can keep it all cool enough...... [See; McHonda for further evidence. ] Cheers, Ian
+1 And another +1 I'm a little surprised Ghosn hasn't "mandated" they return to "French blue" as before....... Cheers, Ian
Concur. With as crazy as weight savings is in F1, I actually wonder if part of this is driven by shaving a few grams from the car by not even painting the thing.
I hope the go back to a yellow livery inspired by the turbo era cars. They would have total brand recognition then: a yellow car with RENAULT plastered across the back. It would definitely stand out from the rest of the pack then and wasn't that the point of all this buying a separate team? To get the recognition for their brand they did not get in the red bull.
Looks horrible, IMO. Why so many black cars these days? Go back to the 2000 season and see how colourful the grid was. Also, why is the Jack Jones logo so low. It might as be under the car..
