It's Race day!! Ferrari looking good for 2nd place Forza Ferrari + Ricci Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sad, but I have to agree. 2nd place is pretty much what a non Mercedes driver has to aim for this season. I still love F1, but not as much as I used to.
It isn't the sport it used to be, it's now 90% show. That means some in control have vested interests and maybe too much influence that prevents it being a true sport. Mercedes advantage is a result of the pressure they applied to the FIA conditional upon their continued involvement, and the lack of testing and development maintains that status quo on their behalf.
My hopes is Hamilton gets a good start and clears p8 and 9 by turn 1 and gets vettel down the straight into t2 (preferably on the inside ) I also hope that rosberg gets passed by kimi and the Williams and by end of lap one he is in 4th and ham in 5th or 6th or so
LH car has been in work since 0430 today and they are completing it now. He will start 10th. A private jet was used to get parts out to Sochi. They are not sure what failed and why in the MGU-H again....according to Ted on SKY.
Looking forward to watching Lewis coming through the pack and hoping Ferrari boys get great starts. If Nico's still in the lead at the end of the first lap I'll be disappointed.
Lots of time spent on Group 44's Merc, upgraded fuel system flown in, mechanics working since 2:00 am. Toto on Hamilton cult conspiracy theorists - "Lunatics'' Sirotkin faster than Palmer in the Renault. As expected, TR management hired someone to reduce friction between the Blue Max and Saints. TR are targeting the Force as their primary opposition, Max believes the Williams and Cans are too quick to stay with. Too soon for the McSputters to be seen as a threat by TR. Wonder if they'll use the Healeys in Montreal instead of the driver parade lorry ?
Toto Wolff responding to Sky’s question about conspiracy theories: “I’m not going to respond to every lunatic who sends a Twitter message."
Does all of the work being done on Hammy's car violate parc ferme regulations, or is this being done under "special" permission of the FIA? According to the regs, as I read them, only the ERS storage battery can be removed for charging but cannot be replaced. Will Hammy have to start from the pit lane?
How much space is between the bollard in T2 and the wall? If we have a bunch of cars going of there again they'll have to all go in line behind each other. Could be a weird crash ''off track''. time lost going of there is significant so being on the inside in T2 is paramount imo
Elderly fan saying Ham should stay out of trouble first lap, overtaking shouldn't be too hard as the car is good. Image Unavailable, Please Login
