Red Bull backs Monaco introduction of upgraded Renault engine Possibly make the parade of Monaco tax dodgers more interesting
Ferrari's new front wing, looks neat, but i doubt it'll give them the 0.7s-1s they need to compete w mercedes. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here's a few shots of RB's new front wing at testing, probably worth a tenth at least. If that b-spec renault upgrade makes a mighty leap, rb could have what it needs to clinch monaco too. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ferrari focused on Qualifying performance for test day one. Similar conditions to race weekend Q3. 106 testing laps with Vettel posting a best of 1:23.220 Vettel Q3 was 1:23.334 Kimi Q3 was 1:23.113 So, a .114 improvement from Vettel for fast lap. That's not exactly encouraging.
Yep. Hopefully they found out why they were slower than they were in preseason testing here. Can't fix a problem if you don't recognize it....
Ya, but they won't be able to. They shot their load already and only have 6 development tokens left...Mercedes has 13 still I believe and Renault have 24. Maybe next season, I think the target for Ferrari has to change now, from challenging Mercedes to stopping RB taking 2nd in the constructors right from under us.
From ESPNF1: Daniel Ricciardo wants Red Bull to run Renault's engine upgrade a race early in Monaco after testing the new power unit for the first time in testing.
