Ham is mostly on his own.

Think it may have to do with his comment (last year I think) when he explicitly said he has no friends on the grid.

Some made a big deal about those 2 regarding their collisions (twice) last year, saying they don't speak bla bla. I think one or the other said it made no difference to them, proof!

 

Lol, at first I thought the official footage was from a diff. race, but as you said, the choosen camera angles makes him harder to see, suddenly I saw him comming from behind the trucks cabin way in front of the rest.

Awkward, but it's been seen and discussed before.

 

Hamilton is incredibly unlikeable and I would be surprised if anyone else on the grid really liked him.

This deep, moody persona he's crafted the last couple years is hilarious. Cheer up bud, you have one of the best jobs in the world and you've been sitting in the most dominant car in F1 history for 3 seasons now.

 

My God, you are right. It really looks like Hamilton wants to isolate himself from the other drivers.
He speaks to no one, gets at one end of the truck far away from the others, and even jumps off to avoid the red carpet.

Looks like Hamilton practicing getting on the top step of the podium all by himself, since he hasn't done that for many months!

Proof that money doesn't buy you friends. He acts so arrogant that even other drivers don't bother with him

 

This is just my thought but I wonder if all this frolicking around Hami does with his celebrity friends has made him more standoffish. Im no celebrity but I know some and they act different in public than when in private. They act like they hate everyone and as soon as they see someone come up, they roll their eyes and say here we go again. Like everyone is the broke family member looking for a handout from them.

Its a shame as he is a great race car driver. Not a movie star.

But, I'd have to add, in this case at least, he's (or "should" be) among his peers. There's a camaraderie among these guys. Sure, maybe not as strong as it was "back in the day", but they remain a very elite group & I'm a little surprised at the video.

I think it is becoming more evident that Hami's head is getting bigger and bigger each race. And the more fans he will loose and the reason why he will not be look'd upon as Senna.

Correct me if I am wrong as I am a late bloomer on F1 but wasn't Senna known for his aggressive driving on the track and also the way he handled his F1 business? But even so, he was well respected by his peers and his fans?

If so Hami is just another guy who could drive a F1 car and won some Championships.

This might be harsh as I know we have some die hard Hami fans, but for kicks and giggles... Hami is to F1 as the Kardashians are to American reality television
