Nico Rosberg unsure if Mercedes can overhaul Red Bull's Thursday advantage So this race...or at least qually should be interesting. Every race Merc has said "Ferraris pace is "real" and "we're going to have a fight on our hands" blah blah blah. Race starts, Merc go into the trailer and they turn the secret dial up a notch and magically another 5 tenths come out of nowhere. Race pretty much over. Now Nico is saying the same broken record about RB. I'm starting to wonder if this is all just the part of the rhetoric ...the bigger plot machine to make sure the engine rules stay the same...and of course...in Merc's favor. It's all starting to seem a bit too organized and contrived. I'm not at the point where I'm going to wear my tinfoil hat during the race, s all looking a bit to cleverly orchestrated and somewhat predetermined. If Merc end up dominating Monaco in the last minute of Q3 and go on to a one-two finish (predicated on a clean race), I'm going to be even more suspicious.
You have a point. Though I really, truly, hope that Red Bull takes the fight to them. Toto will have a fit.
Seems to be the pattern though doesn't it? Mercedes-Benz magically finds .5 in Q1 and the procession begins. Hopefully, the predictions for rain will be true, that'll even things up a good bit. BHW
Yeah, funny how they pick up the pace like just like that. Also, the announcers on NBC Sports do an admirable job in convincing you there's going to be a battle on the track, not a Mercedes runaway.
Man, I wish Lee Diffy would tone it down....especially that crescendo thing he does at the start and at the checkered flag.
That didn´t happen. Ever. Here we only cheer when a Ferrari wins. Now the moderators will deal with you. About this race, I think this time is for real: Ricciardo´s car looked well planted and had a big margin over the Mercedes in FP. Of course we all know that Monaco is often a one-off in the season so at Canada the Mercedes love fest will resume as usual.
Soda company has the best chassis for low-power, low-speed circuits. We alrdy saw that in sector 3 in Barcelona. Every time the Ferrari got close, Max just pulled away again in sector 3. This is real, and they are not even running a monkey seat!!! That's how good the balance and chassis is. Let's not forget Ricci's lap time is also significantly faster than pole position last year.
I cannot recall how rici has done in the rain. I would assume a wet race would favor vettel and Hamilton as they have proven many time before.
