    Some of the guys here turned me on to;

    "The complete history of Grand Prix Racing" by Adriano Cimarosti.

    "Every race from 1894 to the present." (Where the 'present' is 1996!)

    I think it's out of print, but Amazon turned up my copy.

    Cheers,
    Ian

    This is a must have for an F-1 History buff... sadly it stops at 1996.

    The Cruel Sport is a nice book - about F-1 in the 50's 60's... ( its where the movie Grand Prix comes from) ...

    Autocourse is about the only large format book that I know about that is all F-1.
    Rainer Schlegemilch has a couple photo books ... some pictures are good, they are kind of boring to me.... but each his own.

    There is one good book - called Speed Addicts - by the Speed TV guys. Bob Varsha and team contributed. its a good book, some nice articles ... but the photography is superb.

    You may even be able to find it pretty cheap... I bought 10 of them a while ago for gifts at an FCA event - they cost me $15 each. they are nice hard bound coffee table style books..

    Get the Ferrari opus, bought mine in 2008, fantastic books to just take up occasionally and read about individual parts of the tifosi history. Massive and could function as an occasional table at parties too! Hehe
