I believe this is a complete list of Frenchmen who have won Grands Prix in Ferraris in the F1 era. Am I missing anybody?

    Maurice Trintignant

    Didier Pironi

    Patrick Tambay

    Rene Arnoux

    Alain Prost

    Jean Alesi

(The only Frenchmen I know who won Le Mans in a Ferrari are Jean Guichet and, again, Trintignant. Any others?)

Dammit...among the Grand Prix winners, even not in Ferraris, don't forget our national treasure, Jacques, at least! (Jacques Laffite, still alive and well at 73, six times winner) and Olivier Panis, at Monaco in 1996, the last one.
And PLEASE: Henri Pescarolo for the 24h of Le Mans, even if there had been others since.
    But THANKS for the thought...

But of course, other Frenchmen have won GPs. Who can ever forget the dramatic win at Monaco by Jean-Pierre Beltoise? Then there's Francois Cevert and Patrick Depailler.

France's footprint in F1 has almost completely disappeared now.

Remember Matra, AGS, Larousse, Martini ?

Not even a French GP now, and hardly a French driver in sight.

France has a great history of racing drivers, the list above reminds me of a lot of forgotten names
