Guten tag! Anyone going to the German GP at the end of this month? I will be attending. It so happens I have an uncle about an hour southeast in Stuttgart. I called him up last month and asked if he wanted to go. Yes, of course, he'd never been. So I bought three tickets (to include his wife who likes to drive a heavy pedal) for qualifying and race day. We'll be seated in Section H just south of the start/finish line. Very excited for this race. I hope to see Vettel have better luck.

Just left Cologne by train....I'm seated going backwards at 303 kph. ;-) Been raining all morning, the track is 1.5 hours south though. Suppose to be cloudy on q-day and better weather on race day but that can change rather quickly here. We're seated across from the start/finish on Sat & Sun. I've read that it might not be very crowded, may not break even.
I was awakened at 4am by thunder and rain. I'm staying a good measure south but the forecast looks like rain may be in store for Hockenheim.
No 'net in my B&B. :-( I'll have to do it later when I'm in Milan... I got some good video of the GP3 startup and roll off as well as the first lap. The GP3 race was good, especially in the 2-9 pack. Good overtaking. Their cars sound so much better and louder than the F1 cars.

Not too bad. I had a big screen in front of me. I know the drill. My uncle lost track (pun)... From our seats we could see the whole stadium so we saw a lot of action just no passes. Those were done in the woods so to speak. And I think that's part of the problem with this track. We all like the history of HockenheimRing but before 2002 the fans only saw the cars come by 40+ times, now they run by 67 times, more action but there's still no passing for a majority of the fans to see.
