The Olympics (and the lead up to it) are going to screw with the F1 schedule. NBC paid several Billion for the rights so they are going to plug it for all it's worth.

If the Russians are forced out of Rio the ratings will plummet like a stone.

Check MSNBC. They frequently switch coverage there if they have a conflict.

 

The only practice session I found on the DVR is FP2 at 11:00pm. NBCSN's coverage has been especially bad this year it seems. More ads, delays and I must say poor commentating at times due to the endless Hamilton love fest.

Tour de France till noon, followed by NASCAR till 6:00, a couple of hours of golf, then back to Tour de France.

They can't use CNBC on a weekday when the markets are open.

Yes, but let's not let the rose colored glasses tint things too much. Speed rarely if ever covered practice sessions. The amount of coverage on NBC is actually better.... If you can find it!! And if there's no High School Girls Badminton coverage they have to pre-empt things for.

And provided there are no rain delays in NASCAR. A few weeks ago the pre-recorded Indy Lights race (I love watching those kids scrapping it out) was bumped so we could watch the NASCAR bunch stand in the pit lane in Kentucky debating whether the rain was getting heavier or lighter. Did they show the Indy Lights race later? Well if they did they didn't tell us about it.

I'm watching in Anchorage while on layover. I was surprised to find a channel showing it albeit it not live.
