2016 FORMULA 1 BELGIAN GRAND PRIX: RACE *** SPOILERS ***

It looks like a great race coming up. Qualifying led to some people further back than they should be and everyone is unsure about what the tyres will bring. This, and Spa being Spa is a good recipe for a Sunday.

 

Let's hope Ros gets swallowed at the start and Ham has a puncture. That should spice things up nicely. RB and Ferrari are not out of this one, but could do with some help!

 

That dutch excitement this year reminds me so much of the Schumi-mania in the 90's. Great stuff and great for F1.

 

Weather should be "warm, but not hot": 25 celsius or 77 fahrenheit. A few clouds, no rain.

Rosberg, Kimi, max, vettel, hope Elton has a nice DNF, preferably the engine he was so quick to cheat to get going up in smoke

If it's close to yesterday it should still be good for Ferrari...

Yesterday was hotter, near 30.
Some sources still say that stormy shovers could occur this afternoon; rain scheduled for tomorrow.

Hopefully the slightly cooler temps will at least help out Verstappen then so we'll have a decent race!

Last night there was a big thunderstorm over the track, so maybe there'll be a late one during the race...

That storm arrived here at 6am today

 

I could really do with a big storm here to be honest! So ****ing hot and humid last night...

 

Leaving for work in an hour so I'll be watching this tonight

 

I hope rosberg forgets to turn today at La Source and takes himself out. And Hamilton get all over excited like he always does and break a wing or something. Once both Mercs are out, we would indeed have an epic race between Max-Kimi-Vettel

 

With F1 that is certainly possible!

 

A couple of weeks ago I was in Germany on business and had a chance to revisit the initial Schumacher kart track in the hollow of an old coal mine which the father of Michael and Ralf owned when they were kids and still does I guess (along with a modern huge kart center a few kilometers away), in Kerpen Manheim just west of Cologne. Had not been there since summer 1985 when I ran on track in rental karts with a certain MS

There was the little track cafe with lost of photos of Michael, Ralf and a young Vettel karting there but this shot from err....just a few years ago was a nice surprise Grandpa Verstappen, Jos and the star of the day

Actually it was raining there was nooobody there so Rolf said to his son run with the guy.
After a few laps Michael spun off into the gravel, waited till I finished my tourist session and when he pushed his kart back in the pits his dad said "Schlaefst du heute Michael?" Are you asleep today Michael
