Well, this sure is a surprise!

Avoiding beating the dead horse with the usual stuff, he is an excellent driver. Some of his qualifying laps have been epic.

For sure a breath of fresh air in his first and IMO best year in F1.

 

He is good. He has his moments both good and bad. I rate him highly but not as high as FA for one reason - FA gets more out of the car. No one on the grid currently appears to have that quality in the same quantity as FA.

I do expect LH to bounce back this weekend. If he doesnt then the odds of a Nico title go up even more. I think LH needs a win this weekend or he will have truly lost the momentum. To win this year for LH I think would make this title the top one among his others. He truly has struggled this year for mech/car reasons and his own mistakes.

I also think Max has the potential to squeeze a car like FA, as his experience develops.

I think Vettel falls into the same boat as well, but maybe not quite as much as FA and eventually max. Though it's hard to say. Tough to be extremely motivated from 2014 to now.

IMO his best ever performance. It really was a great performance.

 

Agree Bas...it was his best...even if he was the only one with the perfect set-up for those conditions...by contrast felipe had the worst possible one!!!

You can't take anything away from Hamilton, he is an excellent driver.

But it's his personality that some people (including me) call to question.

 

I trully appreciated him in 2007. I was really rooting for him to beat Fernando. After that all the arrogance crept in. Oh and the lies too. Disliked him ever since.

 

That was a great race. I miss the epic wet races we've had in the past like Spa and Fuji from 07/08. These days Charlie red flags if someone spills a drink in the stands.

Actually Lewis is considerably more down to earth than most F1 drivers who haven't yet accomplished jack s***.

 

What do you want? Ardent Tifosi are actually acknowledging Hamilton's skills and you're still not happy because there's the odd bit of temperance here and there. You need a much thicker skin than this if you're going to enjoy the F1 forum.

Actual lol. Sad but true . I was actually watching on youtube just now and just how fast drivers drove in MUCH more rain than Charlie flags for. Wasn't that long ago that races where only flagged in truly appalling conditions. When we have standing water or rivers flowing...yeah I guess it's a good time to flag, but anything short of that, game on I say.
