Have those attending in Austin recovered from Saturday night out on the town? Looking forward to the show. Robb
Thanks for the race thread Robb was wondering if anyone cared further this year lol Watch SkySports F1 | SkyF1 | Sky Sports F1 | Sky F1 Live Stream Online
For those of you in range of KVSN Channel 48.2, yes the broadcast of the race is not HD, and the broadcast is in Spanish, but there are NO commercial breaks, zero commercial breaks (unlike a certain English-speaking HD network in the US). You are generally in Colorado, but I do not know how far the signal travels. Good luck!
Remember that stupid NBC is running it and not their stupid sports network so you have to set your DVR differently or you won't see it. But I'm sure the "lead in" programming will help the ratings: 2 hours of "Mens figure skating".
Does anyone know the EST start of the race? Im guessing 3. And NBC is showing it live? Not NBC Sports, as I think NBCSports isnt showing it until 7..
Ted Kravitz, British SKY commentator just instigated an ignorant comment with Sergio Pérez regarding Trump, sharing disparaging remarks on an F1 pre-race "jingle" (Formula One Track Parade). Not Pérez's fault, what else could he say, as a Mexican driver? I just lost all respect for the bloke - he doesn't seem to understand or care about issues affecting Americans and makes a political ploy on American soil while on duty, totally off topic. What is SKY doing, really? Stick to sports, and avoid coming off looking irresponsible and foolish, please!
Ted is a mug, take no notice, he's a complete moron, he knows as little about the US as he does about F1! Real Brits take things much more seriously. On a lighter note, forza Nico, please do us all a favour Elton and break down
I actually get my US and world news from the BBC. No joke. I hope we get a 6 car fight here for the win...that would be epic. Also quite possible if the Mercs and RBs are always attacking each other.
In the whole, SKY's coverage of F1 is actually very good, when's they are on-topic. Being someone with a British passport, I am partial to it myself but the BBC has also had its moments... not that long ago. So unfortunately, news is no longer professional and objective. I don't really watch or read news anymore. I filter. As for F1, it's entertainment as well as news and educational. All in good fun so long as we keep an open mind.
I think the news agencies on the whole tend to be more sensationalised and out for a cheap shock more than ever these days, sign of the times Report the news by all means, but do we have to listen to their half-arsed opinions and analyses all the time too? We want facts, not the opinions of some newscaster who votes a certain way or whatever
Concur - must pull from different sources and filter. I was surprised they aired that personally. It's somewhat insensitive to all stakeholders involved, but people are also too sensitive, so "whatever" is what I think.
Desi on the supersofts and cleaner side of track . Love to see 'Tex' with a P1 at the end of the first lap...
Got to disagree there...he's pretty damn knowledgeable regarding F1. Didn't see the question being asked, could have been in jest...
That's just how we roll. ; ) Quite common at big sports events (Monday Night Football as an example). Typically jets or helicopters.
Give me a scoop of ice cream on that apple pie! We have flying death machines and women so far. This thread has potential.
