yes, Motorsport.com and Giorgio Piola are sister companies and 100% legit. If you sign up for Motorsport.com newsletter with your email you will get some spam, but also cool article digests.

Didn't realize Giorgio Piola worked with your organiztion Rob. I saw his work in Quattroroute some years back, and heard his name mentioned on the BBC during an F1 race some years back. He's quite a talent.

I'm not 100% sure the average race fan would notice much of a difference. Technically speaker it may be a huge change... visually... besides the wing... nothing super dramatic that screams CHANGE! We all will notice every little thing... but to most... it'll be more of the same... especially since it's likely Merc will continue to dominate.

Cool, the cars will look good again. Ditching that horrendous rear wing is a great step

They should change the name to P3, that's the order I'd be buying it..... LaFerrari would definitely be first - the most beautiful of them all, best sounding, greatest 'event' to drive

    It's a massive visual difference.

I have a diecast 1995 412T2 sitting next to the 2015 S15-T, and it looks like the 412 would rape the S15 in prison.

The same is true of the 2017 vs 2016. Massive difference.

The 412T2 was 1995mm wide. The 2017 car is over 2000mm wide.

Welcome back to proper F1 dimensions.

Of course "we" notice that there are massive changes. I'm saying that few casual watchers would know whether they were watching 16 or 17 race, however.

No doubt the cars will be massively faster, so the spectacle should be great. Just wish the engine formula gets ripped up soon and replaced with simpler tech and better sound. How hard can it be?!

Not hard, but the manufacturers have to support it. They wanted tech relevant to the road and the whole green (lol racing?) message.

Green, Relevant to the road. BS, it sucks. cars sound worse than F3 cars. I remember going to older F1 race and getting goose bumps from the glorious sound that you never heard on any other form of racing! I have attended my last F1 race,(Monza 16) unless things change.

I agree. I reject the notion entirely that racing should have any relevance to anything except trying to prove you are the fastest out there.

Football, basketball, baseball, rugby, soccer, etc - none of those are making the world a better place or helping us evolve. Who cares...sometimes "just entertainment and competition" should be enough.

    Absolutely. Nail on the head.

There are other formulae for fans of hybrids and electric car racing (aside from slot car racers, are there anyone who watches them?)
