FCA, Marchionne conferma la sua uscita dal Gruppo nel 2018 His successor should be choosen from inside the company. Rgds
I don't envy his successor when he might have already jeopardised too much of the company's future in name of quick profits and balance sheets. Btw I'd never seen this, linked on the same page Ferrari Testa d?Oro, l?unico esemplare è sparito That's the weirdest thing!
Sorry, Igor, what is weird? The fact that such a unique car has been stolen, (it is Italy, after all...) or the car in itself? Because coming from the drawing board of Luigi Colani, it is by far not the worst thing he has done; he could do much worse... Rgds
You really do? Well, I don't; really not... (By the way, he has his place in a Formula One forum, for the March-Eiffeland of 1972... https://i0.wp.com/www.blenheimgang.com/wp-content/uploads/media/2015/07/Eifelland-E21-06.jpg ) Rgds
Luigi Colani designed several Bonneville land speed racers too, all called Utah. He was very prolific, designing trains, cars, aircraft, boats, motorcycles, etc... Most of them unpractical and with no future, but certainly challenging. I assume you know that, in spite of his Italian-sounding name, he is German. A bit like the Salvador Dali of design. They shared the same extravagant attitude.
He has German and Swiss citizenship, and his first name at birth was Lutz, not Luigi. But his origins are difficult to ascertain; his mother was polish, but his father is reported sometimes as "German with Italian ascendency", or "Swiss german", or even from "Kurd origins"... You know that he studied aerodynamism at "La Sorbonne", of all places, between 1949 and 1952? Rgds
So another two years fiddling around trying to micro manage the F1 team...Seb will probably walk away long before the sweater guy leaves.
Actually this is pretty old news. Marchionne has talked about retiring at the end of 2018 for the past couple of years. And his management of the FCA group has been excellent. Not many models, but he paid the US government debt early, and his goal is to reduce dramtically before retiring total FCA debt, and expect a share price explosion. I bought shares when I got word he was buying, and I've done well.
As already announced a while ago, not really big news. But about that Colani, who would steal a one-off car? There is not a big market for a car that everybody definitely knows it´s been stolen.
I think that thing is hideous and i'm glad somebody stole it!!! with some luck no one will ever see it again!!
No, I didn't even know you could study aerodynamics at the Sorbonne, and I lived not far from it for a couple of years!!
