Is it the winning team that gets the trophy or the combination in points of the drivers on each race day?

Say it was 1. Ham 2. Vet 3. Raik and Bottas was 7th. Would Mercedes still get the trophy for the day?

The winning team of the winning driver gets the constructor's trophy each race. It's not a combination of both team's driver's points.

However, the cumulative total of both cars determines the constructor's race for the season title.

I figured as much. I think it would be cool to give overall constructors trophy on race day to overall best points scoring team.

And I think it would SUCK because it would be the SAME TWO TEAMS always
'winning' a trophy every race, splitting them.
Ferrari/Mercedes - who else would have a serious shot every race?

At one time didn't they have a trophy or award for the driver that most improved from their starting position every race?
