He deserves honestly I mean over €40 million a year? Plus the team starting to pickup as the car is developed greatly. He's driving great most of the time
I think he should ensure that Ferrari get their ****ing house in order. They can give him a billion for a weekend, but won't make the car go any faster.
Yep knowing him he'll probably round kick ferrari to give him a great car. Which they did this year problem as mentioned by the article the FIA is making it hard. I think next year he's frankly going to apply more pressure for Ferrari to perform.
I'm convinced he'll stay with Ferrari but the problem really is as discussed the FIA and just slow development on Ferrari's part. I just don't understand FIA's ruling but whatever.
Not with just 1 year. Ricciardo is already confirmed by RedBull for 2018 (correct?), but not beyond. If Vettel doesn't want Ricci, he'd have to push Kimmi for 2 years. Man, it's just ridiculous what they get paid. I'd be super happy with 1, and doing what I love. Anyway, I personally don't think anybody needs to put pressure on Ferrari to perform. I'm sure they put more pressure on themselves than anybody else could. Ferrari basically is what it is today thanks to F1. Could be wrong, but don't think so. That things haven't gone their way is a different story, but don't think it's because lack of pressure. It's because lack of many other things, but finally things are changing for the better. At least they seem to be a solid #2 now, and not far from the #1 MB. Just hope they can keep up the second half of the season, and hopefully bag the WDC. WCC is pretty much over already, but WDC is probably more important for them now.
He´s not worth that, IMO. That money would be better spent in the car. Yes, I´m a penny-pincher about drivers like Frank Williams.
I'd take Max for a quarter of that. Or Bottas ! The money would be better spent on developing the car
Yes... but after taxes and manager(s) fees..... do you think he would be happy with ONLY about 50 million.........
I think Seb is fantastic & I like him, but I also think Ricciardo would do just as well. And like the folks above said, if the balance of the savings went into car development that might be the way to go. Either way, it's a boatload of money.
$138 Million? - So he'll be taking a $12 Million pay cut then? : 2016 Formula 1 driver salaries | GRAND PRIX 247 As I understand it, Ferrari spend their money on the car and get others (Shell mainly) to spend money on the drivers. And just how would you be able to get Max out of his Red Bull contract in light of the fact that Christian Horner has made it clear that no amount of money will get them to release him from his contract early? As mentioned above, I believe the money for the drivers salaries is in addition to the money for car development, not instead of, and it's paid for by the sponsors.
Drivers dont dictate terms to Ferrari. If Seb doesnt have the balls to hack it against another good driver he can go because Kimi is done and it is time for him to move on No big loss IMO just get Ricciardo who is just as good as Vettel. Or welcome back Alonso with open arms
