    No surprise there.

    Marchione was recruited to spruce up FCA and make it attractive to an investor for a take-over.

    The Chinese would get the network, the know-how and mostly some well known brands.

    They could keep the designing team in Italy, produce in China (with a few plants left in the West) and compete with the big European and Japanese players: PSA, VW, Renault, etc...

    I´ve checked their web and I think it´s 菲亚特

    I don´t know if these Chinese have the cash to buy the whole FCA group. Ironically, I think that Chrysler was offered to some Chinese automakers almost for free when Detroit was broke and the Chinese refused the offer. Now they´re going to have to pay a lot more.
