Got a good job. Family is all here. Hard to make a move. And living here is cheap.

Well, global warming is here, Claude. No winter at all this year, unheard of since temperatures are being registered in France, that is 1900.
Last week on Wednesday we had 22°c in Paris, instead of a normal 12°c...people were having lunch on the street, at the cafés' terrasses. I have never seen anything like this: weird, weird, weird...

I feel the same way my friend.

We are about to get hit with another 6 inches of snow here in Massachusetts this week.

Snow came in November and it never left. I thought we were finally turning the corner, but not yet. This shows my wonderful drive on Saturday morning.

Looks scary. We're lucky enough here to not get snow even in winter. A cool 25C yesterday.

Take heart, it sure can change form one year to the next, Claude...
Nothing like Canada in Paris (France) even when cold, but both pic hereunder were taken around the office, by a friend (hope he doesn’t mind, should he see them here…) exactly at one year interval, on March 12th.
Difference in temperature between 2013 and 2014 is about 25° (from minus 3 to plus 22)...

It's been a miserable, miserable winter but it all goes in cycles. At this point the only thing we can hope for is a nice moderation and a dry, mild summer and Fall with the rain only falling when we are asleep. :)

    Worst of both worlds.
After escaping the worst NE winter in memory for sunny Florida we hosted our niece and her family last week.
Her youngest incubator was kind enough to share a bit of Cleveland with me. I'm now stuck indoors with a winter cold.
    Bah!
But soon I'll be better and they'll still be in Cleveland.

Oh yea, I can really see the difference. The truck in the lower left was white last year and this year it's green! :D

Last night was a record low here. We're also at close to all time high on snowfall. Thought we were going to hit it yesterday but it snowed sideways :(

I feel for you. Went to college in Boston and went through a couple of really tough ones. One year we had a huge blizzard on April 10th!

Moved to NYC, then DC, then back to Texas.

Ahhhhh. We've already had a few days over 80!

    Cheers,

    George

Just for the record, Claude, global warming has hit the Tidewater area of Virginia, too. Two days before the vernal equinox, the official beginning of spring, I had to scrape just over a half inch of frozen global warming off my truck's windshield. JAF

Claude you do reside in Canada...Quebec to be specific, and winter is what we do. I landed back in Toronto a few days ago and was welcomed to a white out snow storm.

Enjoy it, we all know in months we will be complaining about heat.

I always thought global warming was a bunch of BS even back in elementary school when they were ramming it down our throats in "green" SF public schools. My parents told me that in the 70's everyone was freaking out about the coming "Ice Age"... Please.

Sorry if this is too P&R for a weather thread!

and now we learn that private contractors hired by the government are being fined millions because they are not clearing the roads properly in the winter. The government refuses to name the contractors or which roads were not properly maintained....

Thanks for support! But here up north the summer is not as hard as in Toronto or Montréal. We do not have that heavy humidity over here.
