The 328s are now out of my budget. So I am considering the 308 GTSiQV and the Modial T Cab.

Which should I buy and why?

Thanks for your thoughts and time

That's the most open-ended question that I've seen in a very long time. Maybe you can tell us why. ;)

totally different vehicles, very different drivetrain.

the Mondi t is the same as the later 348. What do you want?

If you want a 3X8 don't get Mondi. If you want the benefits of a Mondi, don't get the 3X8. I love the trunk and rear seat storage of my 3.2 Mondi and have driven it all over the country. It's the car for me and a 3X8 wouldn't do what it does but the 3X8 is a beautiful car for which there is no alternative.

If you don't need the rear seats, the 308 is the way to go. I drove a T once. It was nice and felt similar performance wise, but I think maintenance would be more.

we delivered both models new from introduction...
from MY experience, the cost of ownership is appx the same-maintenance wise...
This discounts unforseen catastrophic failures which sit outside the normal experiences...
tyres cost more on a T-it seems-but the only really PIA is the seat belt BS, and the cost of rear window lifters if fail in down position, and cost/expense of ACC control panel.
Oh, tops are expensive for a good one...but
In truth, both of these are NOT fast cars, so just foolin' around and cruisin'-especially if married-is much better with the wife, especially if she likes to drive-in a T cab

Had both. Depends on what you need or want? The 3x8 is a sports car the t is a touring car, but if you fiddle with the t it will perform every bit as well. The extra seat is very nice.

Assuming it's a fun car and doesn't need to carry stuff or people, I'd go with the one that gets you excited.

For me, would be the 308, hands down. I think they're better looking and will hold value extremely well over time.

I've had both and they really aren't interchangeable.

The t-cab will be much more expensive and time consuming to maintain. The 308 is a very easy car to work on.

You can ask a bunch of strangers on a forum which they prefer, but at the end of the day... what do YOU like?

I was in the same boat for a while (because 328s were out of my price range) but a great deal on an awesome 328 came along.

    So it can happen!
