I was researching the '05-'06 Ford GT and found there was a private auction where Ford sold three pre-production cars. In regards to Ferrari, I was wondering which Ferrari prototypes were sold out the back door because Ferrari had no use for them anymore.

Here's the only two I can remember:

4WD prototypes (was it called 408?)
    (2) 400 convertibles, one using carbon fiber

I think normally they would rather crush the car but occasionally they let a car go

What about the Pinin? Or that maybe was not an official Ferrari?

Pininfarina retains many of the concepts, witness Jim's acquisition of the Dino Competizione...

I would think the other style houses do as well, as Bertone would have the ones they did??

The Mythos made its way to the Sultan's collection.

Did anyone ever buy the Rossa, or the Sergio? Both are Pininfarina concepts, not Ferrari concepts. I think so was the Mythos, and definitely the Pinin & Dino Competizione. So if they want to they can sell them.

But pre-production prototypes like the 348 franken Enzo are harder to see for sale. I guess if you are influential enough, or rich enough, or both...

I read they actually built several Mythos for wealthy clients in ME & Japan

I thought it was useful to mention how it got to Germany. An auction at the factory, not sold "out the backdoor".
