So I have been a long time enthusiast, owned lots cars, especially Porsche. I recently sold my 1987 factory slant nose 930 turbo and made room for an 08 F430 Spider.

The car arrived late wednesday, just got in a 30 min first drive today. I gotta say it was surreal to say the least. I felt like i must been in a dream. The car is amazing, beautiful, audibly amazing, and just plain stunning. It is essentially new with only about 2k miles on it. My wife who couldn't give a hoot about cars at all keeps remarking at how beautiful it is. I am so fortunate to have been able to bring this car home. Just amazing...

    Hello,

I love your Ferrari 430, but I have to ask, Why sell a slant-nose Turbo (100+ built a year over three years) for a Ferrari that was built 8,000 times over?

The Ferrari is the superior car, but a 930 S...

    IMHO

Welcome to the forum - and with quite an inspiring introduction no less! Congratulations on the F430 - maybe you'll feel comfortable sharing the serial number.

I'm as die-hard as Ferrari enthusiasts come; dyed in the wool doesn't hold a candle to the indelible flag I proudly fly. But I don't know if I would be able to part with a factory slant nose. Is your F430 Spider a stick, or does it have paddles? I would love to read a pros and cons comparison of the two cars, seeing as how I imagine they're so different.

    hey guys
    thx for the remarks
i didn't have to part w/ the slant, could have kept it but to me it was more stress than it was worth...not replaceable, finicky, defiant, just not useable at all

i wanted my next car to be useable...i have an 08 997tt that i love and dd in nice weather

always wanted an f car, wife hated the slant, it all made sense...i enjoyed its ownership for a while, sold it to a great friend

the f430 is great, love it, only driven it 3 times, weather here still not helping, but no regrets at all

slant was a bucket list car, really don't miss it!...and my wife loves the f car so it makes life more peaceful here!

f1 tranny (so she could drive it)

would post some pics but don't see how on my browser here
