    Any recent experiences with picking up a car at the factory and driving around before shipment to US? Is it possible to get a temporary license, insurance, etc?

    I'd also be interested in hearing about this. On the Ferrari I order new, I want to drive it around Italy and then send it back to New Zealand :)

    The last few times this has been asked it did not exist in a form recognisable to anyone familiar with the Porsche or MB programs - indeed factory pick-up was discouraged except for a few favourite customers & V12s - essentially they are so much smaller they do not cannot cope
