    After buying from a fellow Fchatter some time back, then renovating them, I have decided to stay (for now) with 14" wheels on my Gt4 and as a result these are for sale to Fchatters first:

    - 4 x GOTTI 55C CIRCA 1985 (still Gotti stickers on the rims)
    - 16 inch
    - 2 x 7.5 inch
    - 2 x 8 inch
    - 2 piece
    - 16 bolts per wheel attaching inner and out parts
    - 4 brand new Gotti C55 center caps, 50 euro worth from a Gotti specialist in France. The Gotti's are aftermarket, and I think the caps just add right, crisp period touch to the wheels as well as fitting the hole properly (also being black rimmed they fit in with the black centers).
    - forged centers which have been refinished satin black. Gotti and 55c cast in the centers. Originally these came with partially or wholly gold anodised. Too 80's to me so to fresh their look we changed them a more subdued, easy to clean, durable and Fuchs like satin black.
    - Outer rims have been mildly polished not to remove original factory marks, and not lacquered. I didn't want them too shiny, but if that's your thing you can polish away!
    - NB the inner/hidden side of the rim has its patina in place leaving a pretty corrosion resistant and maintainence free inner rim. These rims aren't as open as modern rims so you don't see the back of the rim.
    - rims were split, new nyloc's added and torqued
    - all work done by a local Stamford guy whom the local tyre+rim dealer recommended to all their high end refinishing.
    - nb there is no sealing band between the center and outer on these 2 piece rims. I think some 3 piece Gotti's have a sealing ring between each surface.
    - the surface of the rim that mates to the tire has been given a shot of primer which helps the seal apparently.
    - No need for spacers and they fit under the arches of 308's as I understand it (ofcourse, subject the actual tyres you fit to them I guess).
    NO TIRES HAVE BEEN MOUNTED TO THE RIMS SINCE RENOVATED.

    IMHO a great period rim for the 308 variants to get 16". Nicely made, not as common and cheaper than the the knockoff OEM wheel, and IMHO way cooler. These were seen on all the big cars of time - Countachs, 930's, Testarossa's. They can still be custom ordered (in case you damage them):

    Gotti wheel 55A (GBS)

    I will get shot for saying it, but with the gold anodizing gone they are not as flashy/blingy as the Compomotive's, agressive, racy but not flashy.

    Check out the thread for a few looks at them on 308's:

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/308-328/367450-gotti-wheels-ebay.html

    I am really only looking at getting back what I put in and am looking for $1550 for 4 wheels, 4 caps, and a full set of 17mm wheel bolts that came with the wheels.

    photos to follow. PM me or send and email to [email protected].

    thanks for reading!

    Nice wheels, would you know if these have the offset and caliper clearance for my 88 Mondial 3.2?

    Andy,

    I am not sure - I know the former owner had them on his Mondial QV (Username Fasterisbetter). There are some threads on them that may help - I will read them but to be honest I am really not a wheel expert so suggest read some of the threads as well.

    Meantime if there are specific measurements I can take for you then let me know - this website here has pdf diagrams that we could use to check the dimensions.

    Let me know what I can do!

    I have been asked to measure offsets which meant I had to read up how to do that.

    I just measured and 8 and 7.5 inch wheel by using a flat edge laid across the back of the inboard flange/edge of the rim and measuring down into the wheel to the flat surface of the mounting tab on the hub.

    in both cases this yields a measurement of 126-127mm (lets call it 126.5mm)

    From what I understand to get offset we need to do as follows:

    8 inch wheel
    distance outboard flange to inboard flange - 228mm
    centreline = 228mm/2 = 114mm

    offset = 126.5 - 114 = 12.5mm

    7.5inch wheel
    outboard to inboard flange - 215mm
    center line = 215/2 = 107.5mm

    offsert = 126.5 - 107.5 = 19.0mm

    in both cases the first measurement is greater than the centerline measurement thus positive offset.

    Hope that helps.

    Price drop to $1400

    thats for 4 renovated Gottis, no tyres, new Gotti caps never inserted and the correct bolts.

    Good for 308s/Gt4's/non ABS Mondials and probably non Abs 328's
