Thinking of changing up the look of my 430. Looking for Scud rims. Let me know if you have a set. Just for my information I wanted to know - difference between OEM Scud wheels that came with the car, and Scud Style made by Ferrari for aftermarket. I also have a set of stock, and a set of Challenge rims I would be willing to work out a trade.
Oem scud wheels clear the scud ceramic brakes...esp. the front disc which is 392mm. Scud style are for F430 with small discs. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
Alex- The real Scud wheels have 8" wide fronts, which, like Addict said, are designed to give more clearance for the 398 mm front rotors and 6 piston calipers, as well as cut down on understeer. The Scud look alikes for the 360 and F430 only have 7.5" wide fronts, which fit fine over the 380 mm CCM brakes optional, and later standard, on the F430. The rears are essentially identical at 10" wide. F430 Five (Ten) Spoke, Challenge Monolithic, Scuderia Style 19, 5 X 108 mm Front 7.5J X 19 ET 31.5 mm, Rear 10J X 19 ET 39 mm Scuderia/16M 10 Spoke, Five Spoke 19, 5 X 108 mm Front 8J X 19 ET 31.5 mm, Rear 10J X 19 ET 39 mm
I have an original gray set of Scud wheels with housers on them - would be happy to sell them - anybody know what they are worth - were about $8900 from Ferrari when new in 2008 - they are an extra set just for the track - my Scud came with the gold rims
I have a set of 430 Scud style wheels for sale in gloss black with Michelin Pilot Sport tires, bolts, and tire pressure monitors if you or anyone else is looking for a set. They came off my 07 F430 Spider, are in excellent condition, and are only being sold because I had another set of wheels put on. $4000 obo plus shipping. PM me for more info. Thanks!
