I've just designed a 348 Challenge badge, the one sitting on the deck lid. Has been 3D designed and it will be 3D printed for all of you that would need this badge. It's made in Matte Black Steel, with white plastic groove inserts -the plastic can be yellow also-. The badge can be sanded and painted. The surface is a little bit rough than the OEM badge, but it matches perfectly the shape and size of the original part. The badge is splitted in two parts, 348 and Challenge, and it must be attached to the car with a strong double side tape. The badge is made on order and it takes one month to produce it and deliver it. Hi. Yes, no problem. Wich 355? F1, F355? It would be interesting if some other Fchatters were interested in also. Designing one is very time consuming and I don't want to charge all the design cost in one badge. On the Challenge I've started designing it because several Fchatters were interested in. Thanks for watching
f355, they didn't make f1 challenges. Thought it'd be easy as you already have the f355 and the challenge portion done, you'd just have to combine them.
Sorry Mitchell! Removed from the ad. My apologies. I found it on my hard drive and I didn't remember that the shot was yours. I've a huge Ferrari photographic file on my hard disk, with all the shots classifieds -logos, badges, engine, interior, brakes, dash, etc-. Best
Yes, of course. Sorry for the mistake. You're right. I will resize the 355 to adapt it to the Challenge size. I will post it as soon as it's ready.
Hi Pete. I've already made the F355 Challenge badge. As you suggested, with the same Challenge part of the 348, I've resized and adapted the F355 keychain that I have on my shop. And here it is! It has the same size as the original one. Is made in the same material of the 348 Challenge, Matte Black Steel, with white plastic groove inserts. The surface is a little bit rough, but you can sand it and paint it. To attach it to your car you can use double side tape or 3M spray adhesive. Received mine today. No insert due to ordering issues. Will eventually order a second one and then order extra inserts. I have the keychain and it is a nice piece too. This one is two separate pieces which are keyed together. It saves bucks instead of one large hunk of metal. The finish is bad on 348. The challenge came out fine. Many thanks for sharing Randy! If the 348 finish is not good enough, made a complaint to SW. The finish must be perfect. If you're planning to paint it, is not necessary.. About the inserts, yes, they've changed again the printing rules and I've modified the file attaching all the parts with small plastic parts. So Randy, when you will receive it, you will have to cut the numbers and letter unions, like on the kids models. And good news: For October 7th Shapeways will reduce the price for the Steel products, so all my keychains and badges will go down in price. So if you have to order steel parts my advice is to wait some days, please. Many thanks for sharing Randy. Can I use your shots for my ad on SW? Thanks
Sure. Use the pics. I will end up painting so prob not a big deal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
