I am doing a deal with a trader who is parting out an alarm immobiliser from a Ferrari 360.
    This will fit 575 Super America, 575 Maranello, 360 Modena, 360 Spider, 360 Challenge Stradale, 550 Maranello, 550 Barachetta, 456M GT, 456 GT, 355 5.2Motronic
This is a genuine Ferrari kit and comprises vehicle immobiliser interface Part#165012 and vehicle immobiliser Part #167065.
There are no fobs or keys but the trader tells me the parts have come from a car converted to a race car.
I am looking at $450 ono including postage to you. This is cheaper than any other on Ebay.
Please email me at [email protected]

Just so you are aware, if you don't have the PIN, this is worthless.

    Just an FYI

Thanks for pointing that out. I'll make sure I get that then so the new buyer has it.

Good luck getting a pin that matches and finding a way to test it.

It's very strange but I've looked at several of these units for sale, all more expensive than the one I am offering, yet none of them mentions supplying a PIN.
Are you absolutely sure you are correct?

Yes you need a PIN or a remote that came with it from the factory. There is a company in AUstralia that can retrieve a PIN for like $1K

Immobilizer without a pin and remote fobs is a paperweight. The sellers on ebay won't tell you that (they usually don't know).

Also, even if you have a complete immobilizer set ( 3 remotes and pin ) it is still not a "plug and play" installation in to a 360 - this is because the Engine ECU expects to see the original immobilizer that was fitted to the car.

This is an anti theft precaution to prevent the car being started by simply swapping immobilzer units, you also need to swap the left and right engine ecu's and hope that hasn't been done before, because mating the immobilizer and the engine ecu is a "one shot" process.

I have a remote (black) but wanted to keep it as a spare as I only have one myself.
Guess I could sell it with the black remote.
    What do you guys think?

If the black remote is not paired to this immobilizer it won't help.

And without the PIN, as said prior, this is all just a paper weight.

You need to be 100% sure on what you are selling or you are likely to have a very upset buyer (should you find one)

I am selling a genuine Ferrari kit and comprises vehicle immobiliser interface Part#165012 and vehicle immobiliser Part #167065 and one black (paired) fob.
I hope to get the PIN with the sale also.
$475ono plus postage (if fob is included in sale) - no silly postage prices rest assured and still cheaper those advertised elsewhere.
Email me if genuinely interested and I'll send an image to you.

    Immobiliser #167065 is a 433Mhz (europe frequency) unit for a 355 M5.2 & 456 and is not compatible with a 360.

(For a 360 the immobiliser part number is #168508 and this will also work in the earlier cars, ie 355 / 456.)

Well "Dave rocks" will you please discuss with the provider on the appropriate thread as his opinion differs to yours and I am getting really confused.
I don't want to lose a sale so go to it please.

Sorry "wrxmike" but I'm assured it's come out of a European 360 Modena that is being converted to a racecar. Don't see what the guy selling it to me has to gain by selling me a unit that won't fit my car as I'll just send it right back to him.
This is getting pretty damn confusing.
Hope this isn't just a way of getting the price down?? Sorry!

(So you are selling parts you don't own at the moment ?)

Check the part numbers on Eurospares, you'll see that its not a 360 unit.

Also what is surprising about someone trying to sell you parts that they know nothing about, it's exactly the same as what you're trying to do here.

Just wanted to thank you guys for your help.
It turns out that the guy I was doing the deal with does not know the history of the parts after all.
You are correct that the modules are from 355, 456 and 550 and will not fit 360 model.
I will still do a deal with the seller if anyone is interested in the modules.
I want the red fob but might include the black one.
He guarantees that the fobs are matched to the modules.

Paul- Without the fobs or the PIN, those are small boat anchors. If you sell the set, make sure and include both fobs. If you just want the fobs, the other pieces are pretty worthless.

The red fob will do you no good either, unless you just want to use it as a clone. Read this for a few basics on fobs.
