With one too many (Lotus) projects on the go, I have for sale the Ferrari running gear components listed below. I'd collected them, to have ALL the items needed to build a Lister Bell STR-M STR-M ... but of course they'd just as useful in a 308 series car :)

The component package below is US$8k :

    1) 3.0 litre V8 QV Drivetrain. 'F105A' is the non restricted / non CAT version from European markets. Complete Engine / Transmission assembly with ECUs / engine loom / induction / exhaust manifolds & link pipes / all ancillaries / driveshafts. Still mounted within the subframe.
    2) Suspension / Brakes. X4 corners complete - wishbones / uprights / discs / callipers / coil overs. X2 ARBs inc drop links.
    3) Pedal box, servo & master cylinders.
    4) Steering . LHD rack & column.
    5) AC. Compressor, condenser & mounts
    6) Electrical. Front light assembly motors. Wiper motor.

Are you selling them all as a package or can you sell individual parts?

I really want to sell as a package if possible.
At a minimum I want to sell the engine/transmission drivetrain complete, only after that I'll decide what to do with the other parts

Happy to assist any fellow FerrariChat member regards packing & freight.
I can put you in touch with local freight forwarders, or I work with your nominated one.

I'll post-up the size of the drivetrain in the advert later today.
Weight I'll have to guesstimate unless anyone can chip in.

My nearest sea port is Jebel Ali, Dubai Emirate, UAE. This is the largest Middle East Gulf port, so on the major shipping line to everywhere.

If you're parting a car that is a slick way of making the lump sort of portable. Never seen it done quite that way.

    Good luck with the sale.

    Lol... thanks :)
I've had the drivetrain for a while & it just seemed the easiest / safest way to keep it mobile in my garage.

Any estimates on shipping costs to the U.S.? I'm guessing $2500-3000?

No way! That would be the cost for a whole car, using a sole 20 ft container!

I've put an additional notation on my Ebay listing regards CBM / Weight. Packed items can be LCL consolidated & shipped in a shared container... which is much more economic.

Without the subframe / suspension, the drivetrain is roughly 1 meter cube. + 15 to 20% for pallet & wooden box packing.

When I spoke to some local freight forwarders, it would cost approx. US$1k to include all packing / customs / paperwork / freight cost from Dubai port (Jebel Ali) to a Western port in Europe. North America would be similar. Of course it depends where the destination port is compared to Dubai.

I originally mentioned above in my thread what I wanted for the parts collection.Considering the above, if a FerrariChat member makes a reasonable offer for the whole drivetrain INCLUDING packing & freight to a major port (leaving you to Customs clear the consignment locally) I'll consider completing a sale this way. That way, you know your total cost up-front.

    Home this helps :)

Are you sure that's a quattrovalovle? Plentum is for a 2 valve isn't it?
Either way, Best of luck with your sale! :)

That is the wrong plenum for sure, but the valve covers and timing belt covers are QV.

I'm more familiar with the Mondials, as I have an 85 QV. However, over the past year or so, while shopping/looking around for a QV, I've noticed that "Euro" QVs seem to have the black Plenum.

Here's an example currently for sale at DC-Motors: Pre-Owned 1983 Ferrari Mondial in Anaheim Hills CA | Serving

Does anyone know if this was standard? I've seen at least 3-4 examples over the past year.

My euro QV Mondial has a red plenum. And the link you posted looks like a US car to me.

That drive train is definitely for a Mondial, the F105a is the engine designation for Mondial QV coupe, however the intake plenum and throttle body is definitely 2v as is the aav position, the engine is def. a 4v . subframe is mondial as is shock mounts etc.

The pic I posted of the data plate ('85 308 GTSi QV, F106AS/Q engine type) is also a Euro model, and has a red plenum.

Or were you referring to Mondials only? Apologies if so...

    Thanks.

Mondials only, as that is what I own (85 QV Coupe), and am most familiar with.

No apologies necessary. I enjoy learning about all FCars, especially the V8 models.

The stuff/info on this site is incredible.

To the seller: Have you ever had this motor running? any idea how long it has been sitting?

    Thanks,

    Aaron
