This piece replaces your super heavy 30 pound muffler. Weight of this piece is under 2 pounds. You keep your stock tips and unplug the vacuum lines on the valves. This way the valves are always open and you get the X-Pipe sound. The two vacuum lines need to be plugged with a 6mm screw. Job is very easy. Weight savings of about 30 pounds. More power and much better sound. Heat in the engine compartment is also reduced. $1750 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
SanFran, I couldn't help but notice the shipping boxes for the F14 wheels and your OEM wheels for sale, would you mind posting a pic of your 430 with the new wheels?
Looks great and GLWS. Can't help thinking though that the stock pipes with valves unplugged bypasses the stock muffler completely. So this in place of the muffler would also be bypassed?
Good catch. My mistake. Here we go. You'll need to wire the stock valves SHUT with some coat hanger wire or the like in order to have 100% X Pipe sound. If you wire them open only 50% of the exhaust gases will go through the X Pipe. If you leave the valves with the vacuum line you will have 100% X Pipe up to 3,500 RPM and only 50% X Pipe above 3,500 RPM.
Most S-Line videos you hear are of cars with no cats. That makes it sound much more aggressive. This is my car with cats: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTwV1EL1aA0
Not true at all, almost all F430 with S-Line exhaust (including mine) have aftermarket headers but with stock/OEM cats. With or without aftermarket headers, S-Like tone/pitch is the same high-pitch sound, just the loudness is different.
You know your cars. Yes that was the wrong video, my Superleggera. I have that same video of the Ferrari but can't find it. Here is another one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GX33UMcJTDQ
