3x8/Mondial Large Bearing Waterpump

For sale is a freshly rebuilt large bearing water pump with brass impeller that fits the following models: 308, 308QV, 328, Mondial 8, Mondial QV, Mondial 3.2. This one has been rebuilt using the more reliable single piece seal along with two new SKF 6302 2RSJEM bearings. Photos included showing the pre rebuild state of the housing which is in excellent condition with out any pitting or irregularities on the seal seat. Similarly, the shaft was found to be in excellent condition without any pitting or corrosion.

$425 shipped in the Continental US.

Note: I have a second pump that I'll be rebuilding next week once new bearings arrive if anyone is interested.

As mentioned in the last post from May, I do have one last rebuilt 3x8/Mondial water pump available if anyone is interested. This was rebuilt with the more reliable single piece seal and appropriate SKF C3 rated bearings. Under the guidance of Fchat member Martin308GTB I rebuilt the pump on my 328 using this type of seal and it has been in service on my car for over 2 1/2 years and 2500 miles without any leaks. Photos below show the available pump pre-rebuild, and completed.

Note that over the past several months I have had several inquiries for pump rebuilds and as I've stated previously, I would refer you to Martin308GTB who truly is the expert on these things.

I'm sure someone is doing a major this winter and needs a new waterpump. No core charge here, . . . install this one and keep your old one as a spare. You won't find a better price for a rebuilt original large bearing water pump with brass impeller. As described above, this pump was rebuilt with the more reliable single piece seal and will last much longer than pumps with the two piece seals.

Thanks Big Tex. I rebuilt the pump on my 328 using this same type of single piece seal. That was almost 3 years ago and it's been working great without any evidence of leaks.

 

Price drop to $375. Help me out folks, I need to clear up the clutter. As Big Tex pointed out it will cost you as much just to get your pump rebuilt.
