I want to sell my 90 cm long (a little less than 3 ft.) hydroplan model speedboat masterpiece.

It is in wood (read somewhere real honduras mahogany) and steel, no plastic that I can see. And the seat is in real leather with red stitching! Has a great wooden rack with a soft material under it. The model is at least twenty years old, maybe more. That is the only information I have about it. The details of this model is just insane. Even the gauges on the dash is right. I believe there is a model just like this in the merchandise store at the factory in Maranello. I can not remember the price. Can anyone post if they kkow?

The real boat was made only one time and got a 4,5 liter V12 with twin compressors, given by Enzo Ferrari to the naval architect. It has many records and ran 150,19 mph. on an official soeed test in 1954! It was sold a few years ago at an auction in Monaco for about 1,2 million GBP, which is about 1,5 mill USD now.

If the price is right, I am willing to prt with it, but as a boat racer myself, it is a unique piece of art to have at the office, livingroom or anywhere else...

Have no idea what it is worth, but bring offers if you are interested in owning one of the fastest boats or one of the most beautiful and special creatures that have ever come out of Italy. I can ship world wide. Just have to pack it really well.

I think those are newer or a different/cheaper make. Compare the detail on the steering wheels, and the seat material. The rudder gear looks totally different as well.

There is a ton of fake, cheap ones out there. Have to agree, this one looks to be of quality.

While that's a nice model, it doesn't hold a candle to the one that offered here, the difference between a real Ferrari and a Fiero with a nice body kit. GLWS, I hope it pulls in some good $$, looks to be worth it.

Thank you. I didn't want to say that myself, so thanks :) Agree with you. I took off the "cockpit" and engine cover (one big unit), and they are both made of wood. Someone have been sitting for a while making this thing.....

Made in various sizes including the one shown by a specialist model boat company in South Vietnam. Identical to the one shown, and probably same company. I used to rep and sell their various racing boat models including this one. The company makes a vast amount of boat models....ocean liners, super tankers, yachts, and much more.

I have a few bids, but not where I had hoped for. I guess during midle of summer vacation is a bad period.
