This is practically a unicorn, would say it's 1 in a 10 year opportunity to grab a white GTB.

I sat in this one today. Low miles yes. Interior shows its age. Leather is losing its finish. Deck cartridges are shot and won't hold the weight. Dealer said it has not had a major service because it has low miles. Dealer is pretty cool outfit here in Houston. Lots of VERY nice classic inventory and factory trained mechanics.

That GTB from the Hemmings ad looks gorgeous in white. Is the dash wrapped in leather?

 

Looks that way. My GTB has a factory leather dash in brown as well. It's nicer than the standard black vinyl. I hope they get near asking for it.

 

I think the only white gtb qv is on ebay now (other than mine) whichis not for sale.

Your right. I forgot about that listing. It is the same car that was discussed which had the Louie vouton seat and the 328 engine. The car is nice but I'm not sure if it is a good investment if the engine has been changed.

 

Assuming it doesn't have any stories, go with the 328. I think you can talk down the price, which is high even for the current market.

Check with the seller. The seller says its not a 328 engine in the white one. Maybe 3.2 in the listing is a mistake. Pretty car would be a shame to pass on third party misinformation.

The sale for the white 328GTB is not pending- it's a done deal. I'm away for a week but will have it shipped when I get back home. I already have an 85,000 mile
1986 328GTS that's the usual red-tan. In the past I also had a red tan 1979 308GTS, so I'm READY for a grown up car. The white is a pretty unassuming color which I really like. So I'll keep the GTS as a driver and reserve the GTB for special occasions.

It ABSOLUTELY needs to be serviced. No records of a belt change. Low miles, but 27 year old timing belts is a SCARY thought! I worked on Ferraris for 30 years, stopping in 2000, when I purchased a manufacturing company. This car will get me back into working on them again. I look forward to doing the cars FIRST major service. It certainly will have its share of hard seals and probably aged hoses.
