Very nice! Current miles? Lot of engine work for low milage car, but trust me, I have been there. Two trans and one valve job. What caused the issues? Sounds like it is now well sorted. Saw a red SS this weekend, nice looking car.
The previous owner's engine-out was done by dropping the engine leaving the tranny in place. When the engine was out, one of the three seals was not put back in. As a result, engine oil leaked into the tranny and started to destroy the syncros for 3rd gear. We didn't find out the cause of the deteriorating syncros until I did an engine-out. I got a new tranny/flywheel/clutch assembly from a 94 spider, so just took the whole thing.
My 1993 SS has almost the same colors - nero over crema interior, but my seats are also crema instead of black. Pretty combination. GLWS. Sad to see another SS trade but this is a great chance for someone to own a nice 348.
Big +1 here! Never seen that before but those wheels look great...hmm how would they look on a black Mondial. GLWS
Sorry guys, back in the land of the living after 7 months. As spring approaches, the car will be available for test drives in late April (in heated winter storage until then). Looking at rising prices in Canadian 348s ($40k-$50k), so asking $36k US. With the tumbling exchange rate that is a 20% saving over listed $Cdn of $45. To make it easier to reach me: 613 839 5643
The original wheels are still for sale. Asking $1000 Cdn for the 4. No curb rash, no scratches on the faces. They have rubber on them, but I would not recommend driving on the old Pirelli P Zeros. Rims are in Ottawa, Canada Shipping in North America would be about $150 Cdn each. The correct OEM chromed rear bolts (longer) are included in the set.
