Website (more pictures): 1989 Ferrari 328 GTB Houston, Texas | M. Brandon Motorcars eBay listing: Ferrari 328 GTB | eBay I am privileged to offer this 1989 Ferrari 328 GTB, the "Holy Grail" of the 308/328 series. In the classic Ferrari colors of Rosso Corsa (red) over Beige (tan) leather interior, this example has only covered 15,180 miles and is perhaps the finest 328 available. Not only does this car have all of the updates made to the 328 in mid-1988, such as anti-lock brakes, suspension revisions, and convex wheels, this is a GTB (hardtop coupe, or "berlinetta"), providing maximum stiffness to the chassis, and increasing the desirability and collectibility of this car. And, in 2012, this car underwent the stringent Ferrari Classiche official certification, where Ferrari historians verified and documented that all aspects of the car are original and complete. The red Classiche portfolio will be included in the sale of the car. The condition of this car is truly second to none. The paintwork is in excellent condition, and the interior shows as virtually flawless. Complete documentation with service records and receipts, as well as period Ferrari memorabilia, are present, verifying the condition and mileage. All books, manuals, two sets of original keys, toolkit, and jack are also present. The previous owners of this car clearly loved this 328, and this shows in its quality and completeness. If you are looking for the finest example of the peak of development of the 308/328 series, this is it. Classiche certification, a GTB, the right colors, excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition, full documentation... it just doesn't get any better. And, only 34 examples of the 1989 328 GTB were brought to the US, making this an extremely rare opportunity indeed. I look forward to discussing this car with you further. Looks very beautiful. This car would have been for sale for something like $30K only 5 or 6 years ago. I wish I bought one as an investment.
Yep. Grail, meet thy holiness. The thing about these 'up and comers' value-wise are that the people who sensed this happening, snagged them and were patient, while the rest of us wondered if we should get them or not. Now the wondering is over and the fuse is lit. Great looking car. Love the B's.
No, not a 328, nor a GTB, nor low miles....ever got near $30K, they bottomed around $55K, IIRC.and then flat lined...
Not true. I bought my 88.5 for $30k or thereabouts in 2005 and sold for $61k or so in 2012. If I had it today I would not part with it but if I did, I would ask $90k for it all day. The only black on black 88.5 car and true holy grail of 328s (as opposed to the '89s which are still very nice). I should never have sold it but figured that once I got the F40, I would never drive it so I put it up for sale. Sold in 10 days.
No they are being ADVERTISED that high. Big difference. I'd be shocked to see a 328 (even a B) go for over $100k. Market isn't there yet. Not on a 15k mile car. Maybe a time capsule with less than 5k. Maybe.
Seen from the other side of "the pond", it is here already...(even if I still find this hard to believe) 328 GTS 1989 with 7000 miles ADVERTISED for 100.000 euros, which is about $135.000... Another one with the same mileage gone for 80.000 euros three weeks ago (amount asked, and paid...about $105.000) 328 GTB 1989 with 20.000 miles ADVERTISED for 70.000 euros, which is 94.000 dollars... Rgds
Asking price wouldn't surprise me, Classiche counts for more each day, and not too many people have bothered to invest that cost into a 328. Good luck with the sale mate, they are nice little cars, had mine since new Feb 89, just approaching 9,000 miles !
Bump. This car is still available. Yes, this car is priced near the top of the market, or at least what the market is today. Prices on mint condition 328s are moving up steadily, and this one is as good as it gets. 1989, GTB, Classiche certified, 15K miles, documentation. As I've told many people, if you think the price is high, go find another one like this.
