Still for sale I guess there are no buyers for 430's seems odd, I guess the 120k is too high. Compared to other cars on the market and dealer pricing the cars seems to be priced right. I had one offer of $110k but trade in allowance was $115k by dealer trading in for another car. I will wait to find the right buyer it is just going to take time.
I hear you on marketing of your car. Your price seems reasonable to me. Although, when a seller puts "FIRM" in there price, I think that scares off most potential buyers. I have a 2005 430 and all I get Is really low ball offers. All offers are under 100K I guess a seller really needs to practically give the car away to sell it. I'm keeping mine for now. GLWS, perhaps 360's and 430's with six speed manual shifter are just a bit more desirable than F1 these days? Nice car though.
The right buyer will come along. I think the problem is that the guys with cash will hold out for an opportunity and those who are looking to finance don't want to pay the higher interest rate for near 10 year old car or simply can't afford it. Firm price is a good way to approach the sale of the car if truly that is seller's bottom line. Look at CarMax. Best color combo and beautiful, GLWS.
Did you just list the car? The reason I'm asking this is because you mentioned you haven't sold the car yet. I would imagine it might take a couple of months to sell a car like this.
If you have a $115K trade in allowance, then you'll probably save more by just trading it in and paying the difference on your new car. In most states, you are only taxed on the difference you pay.
I was thinking the same as Boilerup--in FL 115 trade is actually better than 120 cash assuming you trade for a car equal or more than the Ferrari. You save about 8K tax.
Trade plus tax allowance. Or unload to cash buyers,....what is 5 k . If u really need to sell. Just my opinion.
Sold car is going to Northern California. It was a pleasure meeting the new owner and spending a few days with him get acquainted with his new ride. The hunt begins again.
