As you can see there is no motorized belts and no lower dash knee pad. Also the fog lights are used as daytime running lights. The odometer is in the console and the front grill has only 3 horizontal openings. 4th digit of the VIN is a M instead of a G.
Anyone knowledgeable about registering a 1990 Canadian car in California? That and the "import" process? Thanks
No affiliation. You can contact this person who owns a company for North America import/export. Wayne Darby ([email protected])
Would that be 26 white TR's for Canada or 26 1990 total canadian TR's, or 26 total canadian ferraris in 1990 (which I would doubt)? How did you get that number?
I actually made a mistake, in 1990 there were only 25 ''ZFFSM'' Canadian Testarossa produced. The first beeing #82836 and the last #87368. This is total Canadian TR by VIN production for 1990 according to F-register. 1991 was 32.
Here is the answer I received from Edvar at Redhead.com when I inquired about it. But that was before I registered to F-register. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Testarossa production Hi, Please first note that the numbers that I mention on my website are not official and that they are "approximate" numbers. However, out of the 452 Testarossas MY 1990 made for the North American market, there are 26 with the ZFFSM code (Canada). With best regards, Edvar --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- He must have made the same mistake as me looking at the production date of one of the cars. I looked again and with the 10th digit for model year 1990 ''L'' there are only 25. The 32 others are ''M'' for 1991 for a total of 57 ''ZFFSM'' testarossa.
Not all the cars are registered with their color but there is actually only two including this one registered as white but there may be some others too but the registry doesn't tell.
I might also add to this thread while I am waiting for the hauler to deliver the car, the man I dealt with to purchase the TR is from this site "BRETTSKI". He owns the servicing shop on this car located in Alliston, ON. Both he and his techs were great to deal with during the purchase. They seem to have a thriving Ferrari shop that works on a lot of older Ferrari's (the shop was filled with some really cool stuff). They were very knowledgeable and accommodating to both the owner and myself. If you are up in the Toronto area, I would not hesitate to use their services. Maybe some of you know them, I am not sure as I am newer to this site. However, I have been around the car collector scene since the early 1980's and have owned a shop myself. As the new owner of this TR, I feel like a kid at Christmas time with excitement!!!
