No affiliation - 2007 Ferrari 430 Little Ferry, New Jersey | Accredited Motorcars Carfax says clean. Could be a great driver for 90k! Anyone in NJ?
There is a thread in the 360/430 section about this car - was a rental car if I recall correctly: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/360-430/465244-found-beautiful-bianco-fs-%2499k.html
I inquired about this car but something just didnt feel right. Maybe it's over thinking but something keeps telling me there could be underlying issues that may happen with the car sooner rather than later. Dealer kept going on about how excellent a shape the car was in but who knows how hard renters drove it. All speculation on a high mile rental car.
I saw this one also when I was looking for a 6MT car. Several of these are listed on auto trader and cars.com the same way when they are actually F1 gearbox equipped. I'm not sure about this specific one, price is attractive though.
I would pay 77500 tomorrow - I inquired - NO response…80k landed in Cali - Why not…If all else fails turn it into a track machine.
FWIW, I know the owner of the car both personally and professionally. Good guy, and the car is quite beautiful. But yes, it was a rental. If anyone wants a go-between, let me know.
I don't think technically the Ferrari F1 transmission is an automatic. There is no torque converter, it uses an automated clutch (sometimes called "electrohydraulic manual transmissions"). I understand your point, but the F1 is definitely not like the "manumatic" in my GS400 (a true automatic transmission).
if this thing was a rental car i'd be afraid even for 80k. the engine has probably been held at redline for hours on end.
Sounds like the car is sold. The car passed PPI with flying colors. The buyer (not me) is on his way with a check now. Excellent spec. Perfect options - would have loved to add it to the roster.
Car listings need to get with the times and add a 3rd category for tranmission: [ ] Auto [ ] Paddles [ ] Manual
I think technically these guys are getting mixed up because it's F1 gearbox which is an automanual - I thin autotrader or one of those have that as an option now.
agreed. it would save me so much wasted time when searching for cars, and I'm not just talking about Ferraris. We can argue semantics all day on what is technically a manual, but chances are if someone specifies they want a manual transmission by checking off the box, they are looking for three pedals.
