Shame the markers weren't removed when the car was painted.......
Pretty color and the right transmission. Should go for decent money....

Looks amazing! 5 speed 412 in that condition? Inquire for price is appropriate. Thinly traded, hard for anyone to know what market is.

In my opinion it's a carryover from old retailing "tricks" which the Internet has made all but obsolete.

I've always thought that was silly.... Price on asking, inquire for price, etc. are all time wasters. It will certainly let potential buyers know if they have enough money to even consider the car. It saves time on both ends.

The sellers knows what they want, post the damn price

My policy is ... No price
No interest, I always go to someone willing to quote a starting point.
F chat does not seem to be the place to play " If you have to ask ...... "
I have always loved the 400 series of F cars, and this one is really nice as a 3 pedal.

Me too. And this one must have been priced rightly since it's reported to have been sold.

Hello everybody, I've learned long ago that when I post prices on a car available on Fchat, there's long debates that start about, ...oh, it's too expensive...oh, it's too cheap, what's wrong with it, etc. To eliminate all this "stuff", if someone's interested, they either call, email, I send loads of photo's, along with the price and history. I've found out that a buyer is much more serious when they call, and there's a dialogue, rather than passing emails just asking for a price, because people are curious. Sorry if some of you out there don't agree, but that's the way I've been selling cars for 35 years, works for me!

One pet peeve of mine is that the ads turn into a soap opera with the discussion.

I think you are on to something - and while I like to understand where the market is headed, I think I much prefer the seller getting a fair shake...

Exactly what I was thinking. It's your car. You decide how to sell it. If you were selling a 2011 458 it would be stupid to put price upon inquiry. This is not the case with such a rare car. If potential buyers don't like that they can go buy one of the zero other 412 5 speeds currently listed for sale and not pick up the phone and make a call to you.

I inquired today and was told that it has been sold. A fellow fchat member was told it went for 55,000 dollars. It sold very quickly and looked like a well maintained clean car.

But they are not, and never have been.

POA= price on application; BO, OBO, ONO, offers accepted etc., if you are interested, you will call, email, fax ,telex, SAE = self addressed envelope; (yes I bought a car this way),..... send a personal rep. etc., or you won't.

I take the opposite view, as my experience has been "I'll cut the price to a known buyer, I'll add $20K if you sound like trouble, on the phone"....

    :D :D :D

GLWS Gary, that's a nice example!!!

Well I never pay the price anyway so I understand people's desire to want to know the price but a missing price on an add sure ain't stopping me from trying to get something I want.

Granted, it doesn't satisfy my curiosity to know the price of something I have no intention if buying of course.

Anyhoo I bought my F355 from Gary and would recommend the same to others.

412s and 456s have some area in common price wise. Interesting.
