Beautiful car! Would like to see more pics of the outside of the car. The pic of the front is quite the teaser!

    Thank you.

Thanks! My husband poured his heart and soul into this Ferrari. He can log on here after work and elaborate about the front bumper.

Thanks, we'll dig out some more pictures.

The front is un-modified, as are the rest of the body and chassis. We made the aluminum and stainless steel grille to fit the opening. The turn-signals behind the grille are sealed, light-weight units that are readily available and are mounted on aluminum brackets.

The car was built for the German market, so it has the Euro camshafts, dry-sump oil-system and front valence. The car was converted by the well known German tuning company Koenig, probably when it was brand new. It probably hasn't had the stock Euro front bumper and grille since it was new. The Koenig up-grades were all cosmetic.

I bought the car sight-unseen from a guy in New Mexico, hoping Koenig performed mechanical up-grades also but unfortunately they did not. I was disappointed, removed all the Koenig body ad-on components, sold them to a guy in Arizona and decided to perform mechanical upgrades myself (I'm a Ferrari specialist and have a shop where we service Ferrari). It also had 15" Ferrari 512BB wheels and I sold them to someone with a 365BB.

This 1978 Ferrari 308GTB Euro is very fast, stops well and handles well. I have an in-car video on You-Tube taken at Watkins Glenn where you can see how neutral the car handles. I'll post a link to it.

In the video, the mirror is kind of blocking the view but if you watch it's position, relative to the pavement, you can see how the car is loaded under braking and acceleration. I didn't want to break or smash up my Ferrari so I wasn't pushing the car as hard as I could have but the car is drifting in the corners and behaving quite nicely. It's a fun car!

This car is straight up awesome, I love the visual effect of the whole thing. Upgrades with close to 400 hp just makes it that much better. IF I was still looking for a 355 .... I would be all over this instead, damn the purists this looks like serious fun.

Your name sounds kind of Dutch, Wil !? (Maar misschien lees/spreek je het ook nog wel ?)

I absolutely love it. On the Vetro thread there is a lot of discussion about originality (which I don't really care for that much), but this is great. Innovation/engineering like the Old Man himself always did. Pity I can't seem to find my 60K spending money and live on the other side of the globe..

I have quite a lot of experience in building race- and trackday cars (Alfa Romeo 105 series), one can never-ever build something similar for this kind of money, and an early 308 included!?!? No need to gift-wrap it...

Thanks for the kind words! One modification we just wrapped up is installing electric air conditioning. The A/C performance is stellar now, compared to the prior flabby A/C. I know, because I have been a passenger many times in the summer. If you want a classic Ferrari that will keep you COOL in the northeast summer, this is the one! We'll post some photos of the electric A/C conversion. It is very impressive looking.

Love this car. Any performance stats? Curious how it runs against a 360 or 430 in the straight line.

Hi Rohan, please don't quote me, but I have never heard of a 308 out stripping a 360 much less a 430 no matter what the mods. There are dyno results here on an old fchat thread with accompanying interpretation (eg 'measured at the wheel' I am not sure what that means, Wil elaborates) http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/technical-q-sponsored-algar-ferrari/125146-supercharged-308-dyno-results.html

I didn't get that memo, what is that, does it work and where do you source one?
