Very rare 89 red/tan Mondial T coupe with 28k miles in pristine condition. All original paint, leather, etc. no dings or scratches, no sticky parts, outstanding leather. The car looks like it just came out of the showroom. Everything works as it should including the AC, sun roof, and original Alpine stereo. Only 40 of these cars were imported to the US and this is probably the finest example. All service is up to date and since I purchased the car last year I have replaced everything that needed to be replaced because of age including engine mounts and tires. New upgraded 160 amp alternator. Timing belt engine out service performed 8/2011 approximately 8k miles ago. New Quicksilver exhaust (original also goes with the car) make it sound like a Ferrari should sound. Equipped with 355 rims to give it a more modern look, but the original rims with new tires are in perfect condition and are included. The car was a California car until I purchased it. It has won numerous events and has a preservation award from the Ferrari Club of America. Coupes are better cars than Cabriolets with stiffer bodies, better visibility, and more rear seat room. (I also think that they look better.) Complete with owners manual, tool kit, floor mats, and car cover. 89 was the last year coupes were made and the last year that these cars came with normal seat belts before being modified to have mechanized belts. The Mondial T has the same 300 hp 3.4 liter V8 and 5 spd transmission as the 348 and is a significantly better car than the Mondial 3.2 that it replaced. A rare opportunity to own a perfect Mondial T coupe. Priced fairly at $39,500.

Wonderful to see a Mondial in such pristine condition, shows it has been very well looked after by its owner.

    Good luck with the sale!

As a non owner/dreamer I try to stay off of people's for sale threads, but I must say that car is beautiful. That is the most appealing Mondial I have seen.

+1, especially when you see the prices starting around $18K (or less).

What a gorgeous car. And, considering that it's one of only 40 or so T-Coupes imported to North America, what a treasure for someone!

    Robert,

Great idea to fit the Mondial with 355's wheels. Adds a touch of sportiveness, imho.

I'm comfident you'll sell your Mondial in a heartbeat, like a great car should.

    All the best!

    Kind regards,

    Nuno.

I am a bit biased, but I think this car is underpriced, given its rarity and the level at which it has been maintained.

There is a lovely 328 GTS on the board for sale, similar miles, similar condition (although I believe it needs a major based on time if I read the ad correctly) and the owner is asking low $60's. Without being negative on the 328, this seems like a TON more car for a lot less money.

    GLWS.

    Regards,
    Jerry

A Mondial T coupe is almost a unicorn. Great car, and looks best with its correct oem wheels, IMHO. Good luck with the sale!

There are just 43 in the US? Wow, a unicorn! And one of just 858 ever made, the rarest version of the T.

    Kind regards,

I per dealer. I have a copy of the letter somewhere confirming that, supplied to me by the previous owner of the car.

And only for 1989. 1990 went to a more passive seatbelt system, don't know if that was a factor.

    Regards,
    Jerry

Passive belts were the bane of every late 80s early 90s Farraris. Still can't believe even our government thought that was a good idea...

Congratulations, Bob! Can't say I'm surprised: your Mondial was indeed a gem! The Mondial as a Ferrari is finally getting some love its way.

I'm sure you'll miss it (who wouldn't?!), but I'm pretty confident you'll end up with another great Ferrari in your garage anytime soon!

    Kind regards,

    Nuno.

Ahh lovely mondial, and a T no less! They are such a fine way to get into the world of Ferraris and a great way to enjoy the marque and hobby without breaking the bank, just an excellent car! I am biased toward the factory original wheels. GLWS on that beauty!

Congrats on the sale. Has anybody tried to fit a 308/328 or a gt4 with a 348 engine/trans axle? I've never noticed but the engine seems to fit well in the Mndials. Just curious-I won't be attempting anytime soon but I've always considered 348s a much larger car than the 3x8 generation.

I just did a search on here and it retuned nothing

    There was a GT/4 with a 348 drive-train that the owner tracked.
