I just sold my 355F1 spider and took this car as part trade. Fresh service two mths ago with belts and tensioner bearings/oil and coolant. It reads 43k miles U.S car with euro deep front spoiler, red seat piping. All books ,tools and jack, org spare tire never been on the car.No second gear grinds, drives real nice.Good body. Car was only driven 3k miles in the last ten years. This car is a nice org clean driver even the clock still works. Its a QV for the price of a two valve.I think i'm being very fair at $45k USD. Hello, Tried sending a PM with contact details, but seems my account doesn't have access. Please contact if your 308 is not sold. Thanks!
I did try to contact email keeps coming back.I few coming up to see the car next week.still forsale till i see cash.
The deal was done today.Mat a real nice guy flew up from the state's to finish up the deal.I took off $1500 because the car was missing the smog stuff and i think that made Mat happy...lol. So it went for 43.5k.I think it was a very fair price for this clean car and i hope it brings Mat many smiles.Michael

All i can tell you that duty is 2.5% plus i dont know how the US tax's work i think all states may be different.I do remember a charge of about $1100 for broker and duty's maybe Mat can answer that. Michael
From the speedo is looks like this was a US car....and if it formerly was in the US, then no duties are owed both because it's been here before AND the age of the car.
Yes, being a previously registered US car will make it exempt from duty but the age will not. The age can make it exempt from E.P.A and D.O.T. requirements, but you still have to pay duty on the value of the car. I just went through this last week when I imported a Canadian 1978 308 GTS. I had to pay a 2.5% duty on the value of the car.
First, let me say that I am thrilled to become the new custodian of this car. Michael has been great to deal with and super helpful throughout the process of ownership transfer. Duty is indeed 2.5% of sales price and miscellaneous bonding, brokerage and other fees amount to ~$600. U.S. tax is state-dependent, also a % of purchase price. Same as for any other car you register.
Transport went well and the car was delivered to my home on Sunday. Now it's on to driving! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
