We have lowered the price on this car by a few thousand - Making room for another one that is inbound to us.

I'm hardly uneducated, and certainly understand market dynamics, but any thinking person can look at the craze for Scuds back in the day and realize that their +$50k is only going to get flushed, along with a further $100k when the 488 CS/SCUD/Speciale/etc. comes out down the road.

These will hold better than any other 458 variant, for sure, but any money at or above sticker today will be long gone in a short period of time.

I agree with you in a sense, hard to predict the future ,but I was mainly referring to a few people I have come across trying to purchase a speciale at window currently but back on track. Good luck with the sale! Worth every penny. Beautiful vehicle!

As much as $70K actually...depends on the color.

For me I like this "American" theme best...

The premiums on these cars will most likely disappear - however our car is the LEAST expensive speciale that currently shows to be available on cars.com / ebay etc.

the premiums on the 458 Aperta will be much higher - will probably start at 100k plus.

If a guy really wants one of these I don't think paying 50k over sticker would stop him.

I keep hearing $150k+ for an aperta. It's nearly impossible to get a
    Hold of one.

Why wouldn't that be the case? A lot of 458 Italia/Spider/Speciale owners will want to have the latest and greatest. Just have a little look in the 458/488 section. Many of those who absolutely hated the 488 are now saying how great it is - after all... And more and more are selling their 458's and putting down deposits for 488. It's the latest and greatest thing. And to most, it does not matter whether it's a turbo or not. On top of that, it's ridiculous to call the 458 "The Last N/A Ferrari". I don't have a crystal ball, and I doubt most here have as well. Fact is, that there are quite a few Speciales out there, and a huuuuge bunch of Italias and Spiders.

Far from it. Last I heard, the Tri layers were 28-29k usd.

I don't think the values of a specialty car like a Special/Aperta is going to drop simply because the 488 is coming out. They're two different animals. Did the values of FXX's drop because the LaFerrari was released? No. In fact they probably went up.

Talk about different animals, I'm not understanding the comparison between the FXX and LaFerrari. How bout the FXX vs. FXX K?

Another perfect example. Do you think the values of FXX's will go down because of the release of the FXX-K? Very doubtful.
