Possibly the nicest, lowest mileage 458 Challenge available, and has not been beat up in the Challenge series. Seven club track days total since new, and shows like a concours car!
Just from the pics (and having just a little knowledge about the cars) the number under the word "ODOMETER" indicates just under 3600 miles. It is obviously an 'American Spec' car that has two piece steel rotors. The brakes would qualify as 'pretty good' for any application you would have. Rotors, pads, & tires are considered 'wear items' that are not a consideration for pricing when purchasing a car like this (unlike a street car). Since this is a race car, mileage is not the issue. The presumption is the car is run at 100% capacity during every moment of use. Therefore the number of hours since the last rebuild, or until the next expected rebuild is the primary consideration in your purchase decision. This particular car is very special since it was never raced. Racing (or driven in anger) takes the car to the 110% level of use and truly consumes the car. Just seven track days shared by two guys is the sign of a nicely prepped, never abused, looking to have as much value at resale as possible, Ferrari Race Car. If I wasn't fully expended in a new shop startup, and sponsoring a Pirelli World Challenge Car this season (Go Alec Udell!) I would have already been all over this car! GLWS guys. She's gorgeous!
Wrong, wrong and wrong but who's counting It turns it has 2000 miles (the odometer was in km). It is not an "american spec car" with "two piece steel rotors" -- all Challenge cars come with ceramic brakes and this car has ceramic. It turns out it does not have just 7 track days, that is inaccurate. Lastly the car is sold.
sorry to hijack thread- Kyle Take it as an omen that this perfect car was sold! I was at track yesterday talking to 458 racer and he agreed this is not the car for a newbie. We were both admiring a new 'cup spec' cayman that was there. Can start with street cayman and mod it as gain experience. (Or buy completed racer). It was gorgeous, super fast, sounded great, stable, stick (pdk also avail), half price ferrari. Look into deman motors in upstate ny Good luck and forgive me if it seems im stalking you here! Lol
