They did an engine OUT on a 328...? probably not?

 

It does look like nero metallico, not nero. But could be the lighting/photos.

Perhaps because the owner wanted to replace the fuel and coolant lines they pulled the motor? I know the belts can be done in situ but perhaps it's easier for the other things with the engine removed, especially if you want to detail and clean the whole thing.

Car received full belt and maintenance service at Ferrari of Atlanta in July 2014 at a cost of $10,712. This included the owner’s request for new fuel lines, coolant lines (Scuderia Rampante), plus the resealing of any leaking components. (Shift shaft, seal, sump pan, etc.). Additionally, brake service, fluid service, air conditioning service was performed.

Also during this service, many aluminum parts were pulled and sent for professional ‘satin polishing’ to complement the servicing. Cooling radiator was also pulled, serviced, cleaned and reinstalled to ensure trouble free re-commissioning. During this work, front fans, pan area, grills, lights, wheelwells were removed and detailed. Front trunk was detailed during this time, including removal and washing of heater cores, fresh air hoses.

 

To polish both the cam covers as pictured, you would certainly ease the project to pull the motor.

Hey, just noticed... that's my car! Yes, looking around for another automotive itch to scratch. This car is very very nice. (Notice TWO 'very's!)

It is indeed Nero, not metallic. Motor stayed in for service, but much came out since I'm obsessive. Was servicing it for the long haul. Did more to it than I should have, but isn't that why we're called stewards?

Anyway, I'd drive the car any length, anywhere, tomorrow with only a gas card. I cannot say that about some other Fcars that just never give that level of trust. The AC works, the wacky radio works. In fact, I know of nothing that doesn't work, other than the occasionally lazy tach. This car should make someone very happy. It's status as a collectible and very driveable car put it in a quite unique territory.


Far as stuff I'd consider on trade, maybe a 550, Z8, super low mile NSX, 6MT Murci. Gotta be a manual, don't like convertibles really. Or you can have everything I own for a Carrera GT. Anyway, that's the scoop. I'm just having fun. You can go through Nick if you have a trade or want someone competent to facilitate the sale.

 

Just noticed the car went on ebay. Nice job on posting it.

For Fchatters who may have something interesting (see my short list) that you might trade, I'm not opposed to trading. If it's not on my list, I imagine RiteDrive could possibly place it. And of course, cash works too. Half sad to see it go.
