Ok, I've decided what I have to have. The specific combo is a carbed, euro, white 308 GTB. Whats the chance I can talk someone into selling one? Or that you know of one for sale somewhere? All help is greatly appreciated!
member: afire if he's still here...1980 carbed non cat GTB. IIRC it was silver, you'll have to paint it... White cars were not exactly common in that era. There was ONE fiberglass white/blue interior when I first started looking, about 1988. Went for $115K right after Enzo died. The Crazy Years, Part 1
I know one locally that sold about 2 months ago with 17,000 miles, 1977 GTB. I don't think it was a euro, most likely a Canadian model. The kicker is that is was originally white, but someone decided to paint it black sometime in the 80's. Anyways, it was on blocks for the past 13 years but mechanically seemed fine, and I almost bought it but decided on a 550 Maranello. The new buyer is a local Ferrari mechanic so I'm sure he'd be interested in selling it at some point.
Not many white 308's out there. I have a white 308 gtb qv. I can tell you they look great in person. I would have never had thought that until the first time I saw mine in person during the buying process. I have had many compliments on the color as people have said they would have never have thought white would look so good on a 308. Good luck! I hope you find what you are looking for.
I agree, white is an amazing color, my criteria with a 308 was non red. I am so happy I wound up with white as it stands our beautifully in a sea of red. And the 308 body lines look great in white. Good luck with your search, white 308 GTB is sex on wheels
Sorry mine is not for sale, I don't know if I will ever sell it. It took to long for me to find the right car. Be patient, check the web everyday and be quick when you find what you are looking for. Mine was listed for about 5 minutes when I came across it. I immediately contacted the seller and went to look at it and made a deal before it was gone.
